This is a very cute little cabin for a romantic weekend getaway. My only issue is that the hot tub was not maintaining its temperature and the controls are faded and hard to see. My partner got a small shock while getting out of it.
They responded quickly whenever we had a question. Space was clean and ready for us. Very solid hot tub experience and the bed was very comfy. Had plenty of towels for a weekend stay w/a nice shower and hot tub.

Host was very easy to communicate with. The cottage was perfect for two. It’s close enough to enjoy the town of Berkeley Springs. I’d book this cottage again.

Very relaxing, small quaint, very personal for our alone time
The cottage was clean and efficient. The patio area with hottub was a plus. Though not fancy, it was comfortable. We liked that it was about halfway between Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park.
This cozy little cabin was just right for my partner and I to stay at while we explored the Berkeley Springs area. All the amenities were as described.
The property definitely felt pet friendly and the fenced in small backyard was a plus. The hot tub was old and needed some care. While we did enjoy it, both my husband and I were itchy in it- he felt the chemicals weren t balanced properly...Host very responsive - he lives next door.
The wife and I enjoyed a relaxing time in a quiet, rural place, with the added benefits of a comforting hot tub, a fire pit, and a grill. We will definitely be back.
Perfect place to get away. Very clean, cozy and loved the hot tub. David was a wonderful host and communicated well. Very close to Cacapon State Park and those activities. Would love to stay again in the fall sometime. Thanks again!
The hot tub was perfect temperature. The property was as advertised and shown in the pictures. Directions were great, check-in was a breeze. The weather was great so we weren’t in doors much. Home was clean and had everything we needed. The host has added a “Zero water” filter so there’s no sulfur taste that another reviewer mentioned. The wi-fi worked well during our stay.
We stayed one night for our Anniversary. The hot tub was amazing and perfect for relaxation and star gazing! The bathroom and shower was very clean and updated. The entire cabin was very clean. My only suggestion would be add more pillows for the bed..... but that's a personal preference that we are used to. We would definitely recommend and return but we would make it a longer trip.
Cabin was exactly as described. I would add more gravel or some kind of walk way by the doors so not tracking mud and dirt in if raining. Otherwise it was a great getaway.
It was just as described. The fence area was a plus for our dog. The cleaning crew didn't pay attention to the yard at all, dog turds and weeds everywhere. They missed the underwear behind the hot tub too.It would have been a great place if they cleaned up some. The host was great, always responsive.
The cabin was clean, had a nice updated bathroom, and had a nice patio. The owner is friendly and responds to messages quickly. The gravel driveway is VERY steep.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
Everything was great, however the water. The water needs a treatment system very badly. The smell of Sulphur has both my wife and i gagging. Impossible to take a shower here. The water was so sulpher ridden that it reacted with my wifes sterling silver jewelery and tuned it brown via a reaction.
The place was secluded and peaceful. Its a really steep driveway which we weren't expecting. The cabin is super basic, no decoration or things that could make it more of a warm and cozy environment. Kitchen was fully stocked with lots of gadgets, the bathroom was gorgeous and newly renovated. The bed was so small, and did not appear to be a queen like listed, it felt like a full size bed. No blinds or curtains on the windows except one window had a blind, it felt super non private especially with camera's facing both doors and hot tub. We had one completely flat pillow and one fluffy one which made for a not great sleep. The outside patio is nice it has tables and fire pit and a fence so it feels really private. Gravel walkway to hot tub kinda inconvenient. If some improvements were made I would stay here again.
The interior was clean, the bathroom and kitchen new, clean, and updated. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the grounds were very dry and a bit weedy/seedy and about 8 miles from the main town of Berkely Springs. It didn't bother me, having grown up on a high desert farm, but my partner was a little uncomfortable at first. I had brought him out to see stars, and we got up in the middle of the night and in the back yard were able to lie on a blanket and see the milky way, a few satellites, planes and a shooting star. The toaster, microwave, and fridge all worked very well.
Thank you for an uneventful, comfortable, clean place to sleep, eat, and look at the sky.
This place was dirty it had black mold on the ceiling, carpenter ants crawling everywhere throughout the place, dead bugs everywhere, black mold in the britta filter, spiders and spider webs, the blanket was covered with leaves and dirt, the smell of the water was so bad i couldn't even get in the shower, the hot tub wasn't even warm. These are just the top reasons this place was a waste. It was so bad we had to leave after only 3 hours and the host refused to refund us our money. Vrbo is even filing a formal complaint about the host. This so called cabin was a cinder block building that looked like an updated shed. So much for my anniversary weekend. Thanks to this awful host I'm out my money for the trip and the babysitter i paid for to watch my kids this weekend. Do not rent from this man he's a complete rip off artist. I wish I could attach pictures to this review so you could see for yourself!

Response from VrboOwner on 22 June 2026
Joan, we are disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay, but we respectfully disagree with the statements made in this review.
The allegations raised regarding mold, infestations, unsafe conditions, and property misrepresentation were submitted to Vrbo and reviewed. After reviewing the matter, Vrbo denied the claim.
It is also important to note that some of the photographs submitted as evidence were taken outside the building, including a photo of a spider web on the exterior of the building.
The remaining photographs did not substantiate the claims of mold, bed bugs, unsafe conditions, or an infestation.
Our cabin is represented in the listing as rustic and located in a rural wooded environment where occasional outdoor insects, leaves, and spider activity can occur despite regular cleaning and maintenance. We take cleanliness, maintenance, and guest satisfaction seriously and stand behind the condition of the property. Issues always can happen, but we do have our staff take photos before and after each check in to ensure conditions are up to standards for guest enjoyment
We encourage prospective guests to review our complete history of guest feedback, which reflects the experience of the many guests who have enjoyed their stay with us. I wish you well in your future stays as well
