About this property

Great Location in Ogunquit - 1/2 mile walk to the beach

Nestled in the Eastwind Village is our second home. This property is a duplex cottage located just off of Rt. 1 near the Lobster Pound restaurant. Footbridge Beach is a 1/2 mile walk, and the Center of town is 3/4 of a mile. Additionally there is a Trolley Stop right near our house that makes it easy to get to the beach or anywhere around town.

After a nice day at the beach, come home to relax in the private wooded back yard with lots of shade under the pine trees. There is a propane fireplace & BBQ grill for guests enjoyment. Central-Air conditioning & Heat to keep you comfortable in any season.

There are 2 studio units with open floor plan. This rental is for 1 unit, but if you're traveling with friends and would like to rent both, please contact me about availability. Each is completely separated and has its own full kitchen, private bathroom, living room and dining room with all standard amenities. There is a pull out queen size sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room. (outdoor amenities are shared)

There are new 50' Flat Screen TV's mounted in each living room, and Cable TV is included. Free Wifi is also available.

Both Kitchens are well equipped, with Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, dishes, pots & pans etc. There are 2 parking places on each side and limited additional guest parking based on availability.

We believe our rental rates are very low for Ogunquit considering the quality of this property. We are trying to establish relationships with guests here in Maine for many years to come, and develop a good repeat client base. We want to ensure we are fully rented, which is why we are offering these rates. If you rented from previous owners, you will find we have made many improvements, such as new bedding, flat screen TV's, Digital Keyless Entry, Fee Wi-Fi, and much more.

WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS - This is a violation of our association by-laws and therefore non negotiable. Certified Service Animals to assist handicapped guests are allowed with approved documentation of course.

Local ordinances prohibit us from changing over guest more than once in a seven day period. We can sometimes accommodate shorter rentals, but since we cannot rent to another guest during that time, there may be a surcharge. We don't typically surcharge during the spring & summer months. If you are planning a shorter stay, please contact us and we will do our best. Please see our online calendar, which is updated very often.

Great little place in a great location

This is a good spot if you're looking for a convenient, simple, cozy, and affordable place to stay in Ogunquit. If you're ok doing a little walking/biking/riding trolleys, It's pretty close to town and very close to Footbridge beach. It's nice because you don't really have to worry about parking for either spot. Also, great for families. We were there with our two kids and we all had fun. Nice and quiet with a little lawn to play on. Two doors down is a lobster place where we picked up some competitively priced lobsters and steamers for dinner. Nice because you don't have to go out for dinner every night and you can have some fun staying in and cooking. Really can't beat the price for a good location and a nice cozy cottage. We'll definitely return.

Great location!

The home is very cute, walking distance to Footbridge beach and the location is great. The trolley stop is at the entrance of “village”. Its only $2.00 cash each way for adults, $1.50 for kids. Make sure you have exact change since they give tokens for change according to signs. Ocgunquit LobsterPound is right across the street. The house comes with a lot of convenience, washer dryer combo machine(awesome btw), cleaning supplies for cleaning before leaving, and the feeling of home and comfort instead of a motel or hotel. If you want to blow dry your hair though, make sure you bring a blow dryer. Would rent again for sure. Thanks Mike!

Great visit

We had a great visit. The cottage was convenient to town and beaches, and in a friendly cottage community yet private with a backyard facing the woods. The cottage was clean, and had ac and ventilation. We would definitely recommend it.

Great Long-Term Stay

We were in the property for over a month. It was perfect for two people. Cozy and comfortable, and walking distance to the beach and the town center. Plus, there’s a great, woodsy outdoor space behind the cottage, where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful breeze. Communication with Mike, the owner, was always fast, easy and friendly. Checking in and out was simple. We hope to come back often!

Great place to stay in a great location!

Mike's place was perfect for us. It's in a great location - like many reviewers have mentioned. The Lobster Pound is right down the street and on the other side there's Beach Plum Farms. There's also an icecream place close by. The beach is within walking distance (like 10ish mins?) and you can easily walk into town. The place was exactly as listed - make sure to bring your own sheets, towels, toiletries, etc We ended up eating out most of the time and rarely cooked. Mike was also super responsive any time we had a question! Also the central AC is a huge plus! We'll have to stay again :).

Great place in OGT

What a great owner! The cottage was just what we wanted, and I love the lack of cleaning fee as long as everyone 'plays along' i.e. clean it very well before you leave :-) The person before us was 'meh' on the bath, so I scoured it and even replaced the shower liner for the next renter! The price is right, and you can walk everywhere. It was also nice to have a wooded lot behind for quiet relaxing in evenings.... Definitely will return!!

This cozy cottage is a great little getaway that offers both easy access to all the highlights Ogunquit has to offer, plus the property backs up to a creek allowing for some blissful privacy. I would have preferred a unit with linen and cleaning service, but for the location and space this can't be beat

Perfect for a family vacation

Locate in half a mile from Footbridge Beach and downtown Ogunquit, this cottage offers the basic features anyone needs when on vacation: BBQ grill, full kitchen, back patio, central AC, all the beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc), and for Ogunquit/Wells a Trolley stop if you don't feel like walking. Priced just right for what we needed, we wil be back for sure.

Perfect location

The location could not be more perfect as it is just about equal walking distance from downtown Ogunquit and footbridge beach, which was absolutely perfect for us! If you aren't into walking there is a shuttle stop within steps of the neighborhood. Overall we had a great stay at the cottage. There was so much to do within a 10 minute walk and we couldn't have been happier. We can't wait to come back next year and rent both sides!

Close to everything, We love it here!!

This place is fantastic. Clean, comfortable, and homey. Just minutes from downtown shopping, and the beach . We have used this cottage the last 2 years and plan on making it our getaway spot in Maine. Going again in September, can't wait!! We would highly recommend it

The cottage needs attention

The cabin was in an attractive enclave of similar cottages on the west side of Rte 1. The nearest beach (Footbridge Beach) was just under 1/2 mile away, an easy walk if unencumbered with beach stuff, so a star for location. The owner, Mike, was very helpful over the phone. Unfortunately, I found the cabin to be unappealing: the decor was pretty much lacking in charm; both screen doors were off their tracks; kitchen and toilet were slow to drain. I was told to bring linen, which I took to mean sheets and towels. There were neither blankets nor, for the kitchen, dish towels, cloths. Most dismaying: the owner appears not to use a proper house cleaner between rentals. I'm sure the previous renter made a good-faith effort to clean the place - as did I - but I don't think thorough house cleaning should be the job of paying guests. And a regular cleaner might notice there was no toilet paper and several lights were blown. Regretfully, I would not recommend this cottage in its present condition.

Great Property

I throughly enjoyed my stay at the property,. I found this to be a great value for the perfect location. My one concern would be the noise from the other side of the cottage. The cottage itself was great. If at all possible, I would recommend a shower curtain with a great backing. I would recommend this property for sure!

My first trip to Ogunquit

This was my first venture to the beautiful town of Ogunquit. Being from San Diego I didn't know what to expect. The moment I arrived at the house it was charming, relaxing, and perfect location for everything the town has to offer. This BeachHouse provided the best that I could have asked for. The owner is amazing and accommodating in every way, from pricing to hospitality. The location is peaceful and serene. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The towns people and other visitors are so very nice. I've been raving about this beach rental since I got back to California, recommending it to all of my friends and family. I absolutely plan on coming again! I've already made plans to reserve for next summer!

What a GEM!

As cottages go, I found your place to be quite charming and roomy. The pictures don't do it justice. It was clean, inviting and quiet. The traffic in Ogunquit seemed never ending, but I didn't hear it at night, even outside. The back area was a great place to hang out in the morning with a book and in the evening with new friends. I hardly noticed that there were other condos when I sat out there. The furniture inside was clean and very comfortable, as was the kitchen. Also, I really had no need to ever get in my car with everything being so close. The beach was beautiful; I walked there in less than 10 minutes. I also walked to town which didn't seem any farther than the beach. I also took the trolley which was incredibly convenient. For my first time in Maine, I couldn't have picked a better place. Maybe I shouldn't write this review because once everyone finds your place, there'll be no room at the inn for me!
