This is the place to stay in west glacier! Absolutely stunning views with a boathouse on the lake to enjoy your morning coffee. Location is perfect and flying into kalispell was a breeze. Can not recommend this place enough

Decided to go to Glacier very late and looked very hard for a great place to stay and be immersed in the Beauty and greatness of Glacier National Park.Wasn’t sure exactly what the cabin would be like until I actually opened the door.Very quaint with a natural feel of a wilderness.Bedrooms overlooking the lake, natural birch staircase are a few of the very special touches that made me request the opportunity to rent this beautiful personal property.

Beautiful cabin. Amazing view of Lake McDonald. Great location inside the park to avoid daily traffic entering the gate - saved a ton of time. Kitchen is well-stocked so we were able to buy groceries in town on our way to the park and make dinners at the cabin instead of going out. Thank you for an amazing vacation! We made so many great memories!

Host was thorough and clear with instructions, left many recommendations and historical insight into the cabin, and welcomed any and all feedback we had about the place (the downsides were few and very minor -- the property was amazing). Thank you again!!

Couldn’t have had a better location. Would have been nice to have information on the use of the portable dishwasher so I didn’t have to bother the host. Also, the windows upstairs were a bit cloudy, which impacted the view from that room. Overall hard to complain when you’re in such a beautiful park.

This is a historic and charming property with beautiful lakeside views. But I suspect the owner hasn’t stayed there in a long time — as she is being ripped off by her cleaning crew. The beds were made and towels were provided, but that was about it. The counters needed a wipe down, lightbulbs were missing, cobwebby and burned out — and there is tons of leftover food (2 icky jars of peanut butter) that has been there for God knows HOW long. And it is cluttered — with way too many small tables, enormous, mid-matching lamps, fake flowers and tacky, dusty knick knacks. Similarly the kitchen counters are loaded with junk — and you have to haul the dishwasher over and attach it to the faucet. Though the bones of this property is lovely, it has been VRBO-ed for far too long without maintenance by a (hopefully?) caring proprietor. Also, you can’t take a shower or bathe in the upstairs bathroom without it leaking to the floor below. In sum, this is a lovely property that is significantly overpriced for its all around, general state of neglect

Best day in Glacier ever! I don't want the secret to get out about how wonderful this place is it is cozy. It is comfortable. It is perfectly situated and it has spoiled me that it's the only place I want to stay when we come to Glacier.

We've stayed at the cabin 4-5 times over the last 4 years and have always enjoyed our time. For whatever reason this year, the local host/watchdog was consistently in/out of the property and was pretty rude. The neighbors to the property are great and we've grown to be friends with some of them over the years and the don't know why the local host was behaving that way. Over that same time, the cost of the cabin has also gone up drastically 50-60% and the swimmer's itch on the beach in front of the cabin has gotten pretty bad. One of our kids ended up in the ER due to swimmer's itch on our first day. Given those factors, it'll unfortunately be a while before we're back. My wife grew up at a cabin for all of her childhood a few cabins down from this one and it's unfortunate our experience this year wasn't great.

Wonderful place and access to the park

Stayed here with my wife and almost 2 year old daughter as well as family friends with two more kids of 5 and 3 years old. Everything was wonderful; the lake, the cabin, easy access to the park, and walking distance to a small shop and a couple restaurants. It was a surprisingly smooth trip with three little kids. Thank you to the owners for sharing your place and being so helpful!

Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip!

We had to very lucky chance to stay inside GNP in this cozy cabin right on Lake McDonald. It was absolutely wonderful. We did all kinds of hiking, enjoyed the deck and views, and loved the proximity to Lake McDonald Lodge. Char was an excellent host. We have nothing but good things to say. Thanks to the host for sharing this special place!

The Cabin's location is amazing with views of LakeMcdonald that do not dissapoint and easy access that all that Glacier has to offer. Lots of fun with family and friends over the two week stay. Char was great to work with and very responsive. A Great vacation!

Great Location on Lake McDonald

We LOVED being able to sit on the deck and enjoy our view of Lake McDonald! Being inside the park is a big plus - we had a head start on the crowds as we started our adventure each day. Char was excellent in responding to us and information provided in the cabin was helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this rustic cabin

This is my fourth visit in two years.

The Cabin, and Glacier National Park, feels like home. From the location and amenities to the charming, warm, and homey feel of the Cabin, it just feels like it can't get any better (except the slow wifi - i work when i travel and need wifi).

Fantastic location on Lake McDonald!

Charlene was great to work with! We had our own designated parking spot for the week which was great for loading and unloading the vehicle. We were completely smitten with the lovely views of the lake from our large bedroom windows. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. It was such a relaxing stay!
