About the host

Host profile image
We are two sisters who inherited the farm in 2006 after our grandfather passed away. Jana is currently living on the farm with her husband Paul running their Glamping and Gathering business along with providing love and attention to our farmhouse. Niki lives in the DFW area and is an international flight attendant for Delta Airlines. We spent all our summers at the farm with our grandparents who taught us the value of family, community and hard work and now we love to share our passion for gathering with others by creating a place for retreats, reunions and relaxing vacations. Jana is city gone country and Niki is all city and our farm is our way to share our gift with others so you can create your own memories and stories. Whether you're staying on the farm in our heritage farmhouse or on our glampground in our Safari or Bell tents we're here to make your outdoor country experience perfect!

Why they chose this property

After we inherited the farm we realized after 100 years of this property owned and managed by our Great Grandfather and Grandfather with help from our Dad that we had to keep this country retreat in the family. Our barns are now a retreat and event space with lighting and seating for 100 people. We've hosted multiple weddings, retreats and events while also creating a space for smaller groups and families to enjoy nature in the Ozarks. We are so grateful that we can keep the farm in our family and let our future generations enjoy what we have and can share it with others.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy traveling down the dirt road to enter a slower lifestyle that most of us don't experience anymore on a daily basis. The farmhouse offers us a retreat from the demands of a hectic lifestyle. However, the farmhouse is close enough to Northwest Arkansas for shopping, dining and nightlife. We also enjoy several very unique local businesses in McDonald county that add charm to the country experience as well as many outdoor attractions including the Elk River, Big Sugar Creek and Mark Twain Forest located minutes from the farmhouse.

The farmhouse sits on the corner of 376 acres. A large amount is leased to a local rancher. This is a working farm and at times you may get a glimpse of what life in the country is really like. Cattle roam in the distant fields, beavers scurry across the yard and if you're lucky you may even see deer crossing over the road to enjoy the creek!

We are also unique in that we kept the family farm and share it with others. Our farm has been in our family for 5 generations and we love the fact our great, great, great parents at one point resided in the farmhouse. It's special place and a gift for us to be able to share our history with others.
