Boo Tiki is a spacious 4 bedroom home in a perfect location. It’s one row away from the beach so you can still see the water and it’s just a few steps to the gulf. Short walk to the trading post and cape coffee and ice cream. The house itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and modern and we particularly liked the huge master shower. We really enjoyed the pool and the fenced yard for our dog. There were a few downsides to the property however. The biggest problem were the mattresses. Both mattresses in the two king rooms were awful to sleep on. Hard as a rock. My husband and I woke up everyday with sore muscles because of this and we are only in our late 30’s so not something that typically bothers us day to day. The next problem was that there were no dressers in any of the rooms. We stayed there two weeks and had to mostly live out of our suitcases. There were closets but not many hangers. We prefer to unpack our clothes when we stay places so this was an inconvenience for us but may not bother some people if they like digging through their suitcase every time they get dressed. Another thing is that while the kitchen itself is wonderful, the cookware needs to be updated badly and needs more cooking utensils. Oddly there were an abundance of baking supplies but a lack of everyday cookware. Teflon peeling pans, no matching lids, etc... Also be warned that there are A LOT of stairs. There was an elevator however which made carrying bags and groceries up and down but just be aware if you have someone with mobility issues. All that said, we had a great family vacation. We have been coming to the cape for 10 years and Coastal Joe reality is the best rental company we have encountered. They are great to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from them again in the future.
