The anémelie Family

Our family has lived a happy life at anémelie as it has been our family home for many years. When work and schooling forced on us a move to Nicosia, we decided to keep anémelie and, since then, it has been our vacation home from home. All four generations of our family love Sotira and the area, we have many friends and relatives here, and we enjoy our visits and stays as often as we can.

In 2022, after a lot of effort, plenty of love, tons of joy and a sprinkle of tears, we managed to finish a major renovation of our beloved anémelie. We now offer it for others to enjoy when we are not using it ourselves. Because anémelie is first and foremost our own vacation home, we limit the number of bookings we accept. We have kept full control of the booking process and all running of the house, making anémelie a truly family-run operation. For us, people who use our home are our guests, and we wish them to have a great time and enjoy their time at anémelie as much as we do.

anémelie is in Sotira, a small township inland from the popular and cosmopolitan tourist resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras, very close but away from the crowds. It offers all services and amenities necessary for locals and visitors within walking distance, including restaurants, tavernas, cafeterias, supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, newsagents, and convenience stores. It has developed into the gastronomy centre for the area, where locals and tourists flock to enjoy quality local meze at reasonable prices. Sotira town centre is a 10-minute walk from anémelie while Ayia Thekla Blue Flag beach is a 10-minute drive away.

The welcoming and cosmopolitan resort of Ayia Napa is 12 minutes’ drive from anémelie. Ayia Napa always has something going on 24-hours a day with its world-renowned party style nightlife, night clubs, bars, sports bars, karaoke bars, restaurants, tavernas, all kinds of shops, like designer clothes stores, and a big water park. Its long coastline offers 14 beaches, including the famous Nissi Beach, all with Blue Flag awards for their quality of water and facilities available.

We, the anémelie family, own and use the property for our own leisure. We often visit for long weekends, week-long beach vacations or for a change of scenery. When we can, we also work remotely from anémelie. We have renovated anémelie to suit the needs of our large family and we have equipped it with everything we may need. We especially enjoy the heated pool in the winter months. We take personal care of all our guests, we want to make sure they are comfortable and feel at home, we greet them in person, check them in and provide a personal contact number for whatever needs may arise. We keep our distance but make sure we are available for the duration of their stay, and we check them out in person again.

To accept a booking, we ask that the primary guest is at least 25 years old, commit to hold no parties, and promise to respect the property and the community.
