Nice, clean place to stay very close to Scarborough Beach
This location was perfect for a walk to the beach (7 min walk).
Place was clean and all the amenities that we needed were available.
Owner was easily accessible and accommodating to requests and questions.
Excellent family vacation experience.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Narragansett with our two adult children. The house was perfect for our needs. It was well stocked, tastefully decorated and the location was perfect. We cooked in a couple of nights, and enjoyed dinner out in local restaurants the other two nights. The neighborhood was very quiet which made our stay nice and relaxing.
A short walk (5 min or so) to Scarborough Beach! There was also an ice cream/food joint on the corner, making ice cream at night a must. The duplex provided ample space for my family of 4, and the washer and dryer allowed us to do laundry before we headed home (score!) Plenty of kitchen seating for a family to eat. The outdoor shower was handy to rinse off after the beach. Central air and great overhead room fans! It was a clean rental, and a great location for the price.

Thank you for the comments Stephanie! Ice Cream is a must on a nice hot summer day, our neighbors love that spot a few blocks down too :)
It’s a good location close to the beach. Everything was in working condition and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishes. But the kitchen was small and it was difficult to prepare even the simplest of meals. The furniture was a little dirty and there wasn’t a reading lamp in the living room or any of the bedrooms. We love the area and enjoyed using this as a base camp.

Thank you for your feedback Lynne, we welcome knowing how we can improve everyones experinece. We are also sad to hear you were not 100% satisfied. We do our best to show pictures from every angle to reflect our layout and do have a reading lamp in the living room next to the TV and one in a bedroom. It's a little embarrassing to say we had people steal lamps from our property last year and is why we installed new ceiling fans with dimmable lighting. We understand people have different needs are are always welcome to feedback during your stay, we did have a few extra lamps we stored away that you can use on another visit.
This is a lovely property. The property is extremely well stocked. And the shed includes everything you could need at the beach. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.
A couple of suggestions: 2 of the upstairs bedrooms could use a small lamp on the nightstand for reading at bedtime. The other issue was that, when one uses the oven, there’s a smell of gas that emanates from the stove. This happened a couple of times while preparing meals. It’s only when using the oven, not from the gas jets. It subsides after awhile.
The outdoor shower was fantastic. The outdoor picnic tables needed washing down so perhaps whomever cleans the house after a stay could wash down the picnic tables.
Would absolutely recommend this property!

About the host
Hosted by Steven Siligato
As a Southern Narragansett native, I always enjoyed the hiking, food, fishing, water sports, and events Rhode Island has to offer. Summer is of course my favorite time of year because the days are long and a bathing suit is my preferred daily outfit.
Why they chose this property
Southern Narragansett is the perfect spot to vacation because of its proximity to the 3 free state beaches (Scarborough, Roger Wheeler, and Salty Brine), proximity to Galilee, Point Judith Lighthouse, and the great seafood close by.
What makes this property unique
This property is perfectly located across from Scarborough State Beach which also has a nice big grass field and other paved walkways if the sand is not your preference. There is also a pizza, sandwich and ice cream shop 10 houses away.
