Welcome to Our Family-Friendly Lodge Retreat!
Families love staying at our lodge, where the charm of ranch life meets the thrill of outdoor adventure. Kids of all ages can join in the fun by helping feed our friendly ranch animals, including horses right here on the property.
Frank and Terri live in a private part of the house and are here to help with any of your needs while you stay with us.
Just minutes away, the beach offers the perfect spot for a sunny family outing. For those seeking excitement, the nearby Salmon River is ideal for white water rafting, while the Snake River features unforgettable jet boat tours that the whole family will enjoy.
Our spacious lodge is perfect for family reunions, weddings, and special interest groups, offering plenty of room to gather and celebrate. In the evenings, families can enjoy cooking together in our large BBQ area and share stories and songs around the cozy campfire pit.
Wedding, family reunions there are additional fees for more then the approved 20 people.

Great location for Hells Canyon tour

This is a fun property for a large group. My only complaint was it smelled bad/musky in the rooms.

Thank you for staying with us last weekend. You stated the rooms smelled bad and musty- can you tell me which rooms? were they the family rooms? I appreciate the information and would like to correct it. I just cleaned all the rooms and I did not notice the smell but sometimes we get use to it. Very happy with our stay with our stay in Grangeville. Frank and Theresa were great.

This property is was perfect for our trip. We had the whole house to ourself even though the hosts reside on site. Theresa was amazing and Frank stayed up with us a couple nights telling stories, it was great. Definitely will staying here again

Awesome Hosts

Theresa and Mr. Frank were awesome hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of good places to go to which made our 7 night stay so enjoyable and memorable. The rafting trip that Theresa arranged for us was the best part of the trip for both adults and children in our group. They were also very patient with us and the children in our group felt so welcomed and cared for by them, especially our 5 year old?, Malcolm. He misses Mr. Frank. The house was beautiful and in a very quiet spot. Early morning coffee with Mr. Frank was always a treat. The kids enjoyed the goats and the horses and the chickens and especially Penny the pig. Thank you very much Theresa and Mr. Frank for the timbre you silent with us and for making our annual family vacation very memorable.

A Family Dream Vacation

We had a wonderful time at the lodge. The owners were absolutely wonderful especially to our 3 year old grandson. Frank and Terri made sure he got to collect eggs, met Penny the Pot Belli Pig, rode a horse, and just treated him special. It was magical for all of us. I would suggest a little updating on the listing as it is not a Bed and Breakfast now. It is a vacation home rental. We would definitely go back again! Perhaps next year with our new granddaughter.

A unique and fun place to stay!

Our group had a great time at the White Bird Summit Lodge. Terri and Frank are very accommodating and friendly hosts. The setting is beautiful, the beds are very cozy and the lodge decor will keep you entertained for hours just looking around. We brought our own food for 20 people and the facilities were easily adequate to prepare and enjoy meals together. The setting and surrounding area showcase the best that Idaho has to offer, from rivers and streams to rolling hills and mountain ranges. All of the animals at the ranch are well loved and taken care of. We will be back!

We’re Terri and Frank, and we’ve made this beautiful corner of the West our home after many years in Wisconsin. With a deep love for nature, travel, and community, we’ve created more than just a place to stay—we’ve built a space where guests can reconnect with the outdoors, unwind, and feel truly welcomed.
Our journey has taken us all over the world. Terri spent her career with American Airlines, while Frank ran his own construction company. Along the way, we’ve hunted in remote corners of the globe, and our lodge features a collection of taxidermy displays that reflect those adventures. We feel privileged to have shared our harvests with communities in Africa, and those experiences continue to shape the way we welcome others into our home.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud parents of three daughters, grandparents to seven, and great-grandparents to two. Every guest who stays with us becomes part of that extended family. Whether you're here to explore Idaho’s wild beauty or simply to enjoy a quieter way of life, we’re here every day to ensure your stay is memorable, meaningful, and full of warmth.

Located on 70 acres and adjacent to the Nez Perce National Forest for hiking. Intermingle with all the ranch animals, We will assist with any additional activities like white water rafting on the Salmon river and Jet boat tours on the Snake River. We have three large sitting areas and large game room.
