The house and deck were lovely. The bedrooms were comfortable. The bathrooms were newly renovated. The amenities were over the top. Everything that the guest could need was available and plentiful. Towels, beach blankets and chairs, pillows and blankets were all brand new.The kitchen was well-appointed with spices, foil, wraps, dishes, pots, pans, cups, and glasses. The outdoor grill was new and worked well. The hot tub was perfectly clean and the fire pit table was great. This house is located near several boat launches and Bowers beach which appeals to fisherman, crabbers, and lovers of natural shore wildlife. This is not your typical beach house experience-but that type of beach vibe was easily found in Rehoboth only 35 minutes down the Delaware coast with the boardwalk, nightlife, restaurants, and tons of shopping. The surrounding marshlands are home to many insects, so from dusk to dawn remember your bug spray. The home welcomes dogs but the beach during the summer season does not allow dogs during the day.
We stayed with 3 teens and two adults for a lacrosse weekend at DE Turf. This was a great location for us and it was perfect for our needs. It’s well-maintained, and Gabriel was very responsive. It’s well-appointed, clean, and right on the river with JP’s Wharf right next door for a restaurant option.
We would definite stay here again!
The small town is quiet and friendly. The water, beach, and local restaurant is within a 3-5 min walk. House was great!

Matt, thank you again for your stay and kind review! We appreciate the great communication and great condition you left the property. Welcome back any time!
This was our family’s first time visiting Bowers Beach and I think we’ll definitely be back in the future! We have stayed in homes on the Delaware Coast before but have never been so far north. The beach itself was so quiet and calm (being on the bay) and there was a nice mixture of families with kids, solo folks, and fishermen. The walk from the house to the beach was an easy few minutes and the shallow, gentle water was perfect for our littler ones. It was fun to watch boats and fishermen at the beach and the house itself. The house had plenty of towels, sheets, pillows, and extra blankets but we also brought a few of our own, we thought maybe more kitchen linens would be helpful? There was plenty of room for all of us to lounge and the porch was awesome. So comfortable with many different spots to hang out. As mentioned in the listing, we were right on the river and made sure the kids and dog didn’t get too close to the edge of the porch. There was live music at the nearby restaurant a couple of nights, which was fun to listen to, but they wrapped up early each night. A couple of friendly neighbors around, and we felt safe and secure. The grocery stores were about 15 minutes away and the even closer Dollar General Market had what we needed anyway. The only thing we wondered about was the trash not being picked up on Tuesday, but we left the cans at the curb as requested in the helpful information book. Great communication with the host all week!
This property is really cute! It was very clean & the house was well taken care of. We LOVED the deck, especially being right along the river (you cannot swim in the river because of the current). There were a decent amount of people boating, jet sking, kayaking so it was fun people watching. Loved how we were within walking distance to the beach & JP Wharfs, that's about all there is to do so if you're looking for lowkey this is the place!!
Two weeks’ worth of back-to-back tournaments at the Delaware Turf Field would have meant a ridiculou$$ (and cramped and smelly) hotel stay or a daily from nearly an hour away each way. No thanks.
This was a better value with more space, more amenities and an inviting, well-equipped dock.
Neighbors were friendly, fish were biting, seafood and cold beer just steps away.
Best part? The host team. Super responsive to every question. Everything as expected — some things even nicer than expected.
Our goals were a clean space to sleep, cook, wash, relax, recharge and restock between lacrosse games. Not much happening in this tiny town other than that. But it met our needs perfectly.
If you’re looking for a short drive to the fields and a little extra room to spread out, this house is the place.
