A across the board! The house was comfortable and well appointed. The view was beautiful. The area was peaceful and quiet and private. We fished right out the back door practically and witnessed shiny sunrises and shimmering sunsets from the enormous waterfront deck. The hosts were phenomenal with great communication and very accomodating. I wish i could live right there. We hope to visit again. Highly recommend
We stayed for 2 nights while at a lacrosse tournament. Perfect proximity to come back after games all day, make some burgers on the deck and get some fishing in. Owner was communicative and we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

A+ VACATION SPOT AND HOSTS
This place was awesome, and the hosts were even better! It has a beautiful waterfront view and an enormous deck to enjoy it from. You will not see a more gorgeous sunset than from the deck in the evenings. We also enjoyed fishing right from the dock with the reels that the owners already had set up for us. The house is welcoming and has comfortable beds! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. It is privately tucked on a dead-end road so no thru traffic. The neighbors are also very friendly. I wish I had been able to stay longer, and we hope to come back again. A+ across the board. Thanks for a great memorable stay!
It was a great location. The family enjoyed it, so beautiful

Great Spot for a Quiet Stay
The house was just as described and right on the water which was perfect for us. The street was extremely quiet and off the beaten path. The only issue we had was the cleanliness and some electrical issues.
The gorgeous view changed every single night. The water was magnificent and sunsets/sunrises made it all so beautiful. The host was so helpful with questions. The home is decorated with care and attention and the beds were so comfy.
In town for a lacrosse tournament at the DE Turf Sports Complex. We stayed 4 families at the VRBO. It was great! Huge deck, lots of space, great location.
Stayed here for proximity to DE Turf, easy access to quiet beaches, and easy access to Milford stores and restaurants. Owner was easy to work with and responsive to questions. If it wasn't hot as Hades when we were there, we would have enjoyed more time on the river front deck. We did catch some early morning coffee time on the deck with a nice breeze.
Loved being on the bay, husband fished the whole time, a little too off the path for me. Seller extremely accommodating. Unfortunately it rained continually, no one’s fault.

Oceanfront stay
This house was perfect for our group. The layout was great for our group of 7, 4 adults and 3 teens. The view from porch was amazing but like some other reviews the smell outside was a bit tough sometimes. It was extremely hot and the location only has window air conditioners. One bedroom ac was not working. There were plenty of fans so ended up not being an issue. We will be out again next summer!
The keyless entry didn’t work but luckily a door was open but we couldn’t lock it up when we left. 1 bedroom has no ac and another has no power/ ac so 2 of 4 bedrooms had no ac at all. For the fee, I expected better. I won’t be coming back

Jeff, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
-We're very sorry that you were disappointed with these aspects of your stay. We have been trying to have an electrician come to finish work on the two rooms you have mentioned so that there will be functioning AC. Unfortunately, supplies were back ordered so we were not able to finish installation before your visit.
-These issues will be resolved as soon as possible and we would love to have you return when they are. We would do everything to make sure that your stay is a five-star experience.
We here at Evolve would like to take responsibility for your troubles with the keyless entry. We have addressed this issue with the team so that this will not affect future guests. Thank you for providing your valuable feedback as we continue to improve the property for future guests!
The location was ideal, on a canal near Delaware Bay. Easy driving to close quiet beaches or short drive to Rehoboth Beach.
House had great fenced sit- out deck on canal, great sun room with views out to birds, canal. Cute decor.
One concern was flies. On check-in dozens of flies in kitchen, great room. Recommend fly swatter each level and maybe service for flies. Suspect previous renter may have kept French Doors to deck open, allowing flies in. We kept killing them throughout our stay, but still more we could not catch. Needed to keep all beverages covered all times, food covered in kitchen.
One bedroom air-conditioner not cooling, only fan running. Other a.c. function well.
When arrived, dirty dishes in dishwasher, not run. King bed did not have a flat sheet, could not find, so used two extra queen flat sheets.
In summary, house location lovely, great spaces! Recommend service for fly control, between renters.

We were in town for a wedding so didn't plan on spending much time there. When we arrived the house was clean. The air conditioning was on in the living room and kitchen. There was no air conditioning in the bedrooms. All the windows in the bedrooms and bathrooms were open. Each room had an arctic air cube, you put water and ice in and it blows cool air. Two of the rooms had units that I believe were air conditioning, but blew warm air. We planned on using the game room and the couch for sleeping. There was no couch, the room was not clean and it was being used for storage. There was food in both the refrigerator and freezer as well as cabinet. There was personal used toiletries and a loofah sponge in the bathroom. The smoke alarm in the kitchen was open with no battery. The coffee maker looked like it had never been cleaned. We cleaned it. I did not contact the host because there was a lot going on and I didn't want to deal with it. I did text when we left and told him we were gone and I wasn't happy. He told me I should have called. Maybe, but the house should have been set up as advertised, saying I should have called was putting the blame on me. He said the bedroom units work with a remote. I told him there were no remotes in the rooms. He told me the remotes from the living room and kitchen work the whole house. How was I to know that? There were no instructions. The house itself was nice. It is in a very secluded location.
We asked for and received permission for an early arrival. We arrived to find that the game room (which we entered through) did not look like the pics but was actually filled with stuff. Stuff=boxes, linens, trash , laundry and bikes, a large tv on the floor and just so much stuff that moving through it was hazardous. Then we moved on into the main house. Which did look like the pics. Except for the polka dotted thing by the pots on the overhead hanger. What was that? I got closer and found out. It was a cylindrical fly sticky. And the polka dots were literally hundreds of dead flies stuck to it. In the living room were two more fly stickies. Also covered w dead flies. The home was neither the cleanest nor the dirtiest Vrbo I’ve ever rented but the fly sticker situation was too much. I decided that I would have to clean and wash everything before I could be anywhere near comfortable there. I turned on the water to start cleaning, and the smell hit me. It was sulfur water. (Which was mentioned nowhere in the listing. )That was the end. I could t contact the owner (turns out he was in the hospital so not his fault) so I contacted Vrbo and then the management company that rents it. Received a full refund and left. It is a lovely house with lots of potential. I wish I could’ve made it work but nope. The flies, the trash and the sulfur water were too much.

Not Ocean front but Canal front
First the house was clean when we arrived. The negatives:1. Not Ocean Front. It is located on the Cedar creek Canal which is connected to the Delaware Bay so you are about 30 minutes (without traffic) from Lewes, most days it took us an hour because of traffic to get to Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. 2. The basement was used as a storage area and not a "game room" as advertised. There was a larger flat screen T.V. sitting on the Air Hockey table when we arrived. 3. The basement was so hot that even if we did check to see if the air hockey table worked you could not stay down there for long.4. All rooms but one, had a T.V. The master room had 2 T.V.'s one of which did not work. 5. The window AC units that were in the 3 bedrooms (not master) were not installed very well. They were tilted out of the windows a bit which caused there to be gaps that we ended up putting hand towels in to cover. 6. The craftsmanship of the remodel is mediocre. You can see drywall tape that was not properly done above the fridge, the master shower seat leans in which causes water to pool up, there are multiple areas where there is no caulking at all. 7. Outlets in the bathroom off of the kitchen do not work. 8. Lots of personal food ( in fridge, pantry and freezer), toiletries, mail, and random household junk still in the home. That made it feel as if it was the owners fishing camp more than a rental house for out of towners. 9. There is so much decorations (all over the house) on the shelves that you have nowhere to set your dry goods, snacks, or even drinks that do not fit in the fridge (again lots of personal food left). We ended up combining lots of decorations on multiple spots to have space. 10. When we stripped the beds per the cleanup request the master bed is riddled with stains which we did not know about until check out. Underneath the beds has also not been cleaned in a while there was a lot of dust that was not cause by the one week stay we had. PROS: 1. The guest contact (he is the owner of the house. Confirmed that by the mail left in the house) is easy to to get a hold of and quick to respond (within the hour).2. The Main house air-condoning works really well. 3. The couch and armchair are both very comfortable. 4. Washer and dryer both work well and were used daily.5. Plenty of room to park 2 pick-ups in the drive with additional parking in the gravel on the other side of driveway/road.

Hi Walter, thanks for your thoughtful review and for highlighting what you enjoyed. We’re so glad the home felt spacious and comfortable, and that communication was smooth throughout your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your comments, and they wanted to share the following:
- The window A/C units are installed to tilt outward for proper drainage, but we’ll double-check the seals to prevent any gaps in the future.
- The basement is used seasonally and can get warmer during summer months, but many guests still enjoy the space and its amenities when conditions allow.
- The master shower seat is intentionally sloped to prevent water from pooling, and minor drywall repairs above the fridge are in progress following a previous leak.
- We leave basic condiments and some household items for guest convenience and will take a fresh look at how we balance those with available shelf and fridge space.
Thanks again for your feedback. We’ll continue working to make each stay even better!
We were three families in town for a sporting event. The house had everything we needed and was spacious enough for 8 people. The deck and fishing access were also a major plus.

Awesome Place!
What a beautiful getaway. Really secluded, on the water, great fishing, with poles and even bikes included! Expectations were certainly exceeded! The house is so cozy and has so much character. Just perfect for our family extended weekend.
