About this property

Classic 4 bedroom Pine Cottage

Welcome to our year-round, 2 story, lovely pine-finished, 4 bedroom cottage on prestigious Kennisis Lake. 1,300 square feet of pure country comfort with a new kitchen, oven and dishwasher. Our pine haven is situated close to the water on an oversized, gradually sloping lot that faces south for great sun exposure. There’s plenty of watercraft so that everyone can get out on the water together, even a rowboat for the fishing enthusiast; not to mention a beautiful (uninhabited) island view and a crystal-clear lake, great for swimming.

With Lots of extras like Wifi, a drilled well for clean drinking water, a sheltered area for lakeside dining next to a firepit, Apple TV and games for the kids — you have everything you need for a idylic family vacation. There’s even a private office space and reliable cell signal for working remotely, if you are so inclined.

Kennisis Lake is at the heart of Ontario’s premier holiday destination and boasts miles of boating pleasure and stunning vistas. There’s a marina on the lake for those last-minute supplies and all your watercraft needs, and we’re just minutes from the 100,000 acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its groomed hiking and biking and snowmobile trails and world-famous Wolf Observatory; yet only 30 minutes from shopping, golf courses and entertainment, and just 3 hours north of Toronto.

About the host

Host profile image
As a long-time lake resident, and a registered travel agent with TICO, I established Kennisis Cottage Rentals in 2006 to meet the increasing demand for lakefront holiday accommodations and she brings to the table years of cottaging experience. An extensive roster of loyal clients attests to the value of this personal touch and level of commitment. Once experiencing the enduring magic of cottage country, our valued guests return year after year.

My romance with cottage life began when my parents bought a summer residence on Kennisis Lake in 1956. A proud cottage owner, property manager, and professional provider of lakefront accommodations, I have made responsible renting her top priority. This care and commitment translates to hundreds of valued return guests annually. I take particular delight in sharing her knowledge and experience with new vacationers discovering the joys of cottaging for the first time.
