Lovely log home in a serene setting
This cozy log home was the perfect setting to visit our tech students and enjoy the beautiful UP in the winter. It was a bit of a drive to places, but we knew this going in and found the seclusion relaxing. Lots of space, comfy seating, and warm wood burning stove made the living space perfect for our big group. Lots of bedrooms gave us all our private space as well. The sauna was really nice to have and enjoyed by many. Maybe a few more finishing touches to both the home and the amenities to make this feel like the perfect home away from home.

Spacious log cabin in the countryside
We came up to snowmobile but unfortunately the snow didn’t last long when we arrived. But the house made up for the lack of snow. The beds were very comfortable. Water pressure is great in the showers. Horse shoe driveway allows for lots of parking and a spot for a truck and trailer off to the side as well. The property has a few hiking trails through it which are fun to explore with the kids. We really enjoyed the house for the price. The only thing that could make this place any better is a larger tv in the living room, and a hot tub on the back deck. But I know those can be a pain to maintain. We filled the bird feeders also a couple times and enjoyed watching all the birds We also drove up into houghton many times (30min drive) for their great food selections and also to do some tubing down mount ripley. Anyone with kids should go try that one day for something fun to do.

Nice cabin !
Cabin has great potential but needs better cleaning . Heating was not working properly upstairs, needs to be fixed. Would suggest providing a grill also. Other than that, we enjoyed the location and the cabin could turn out great with small improvements. Plenty of space for larger groups, pretty well equipped.
