Rat Poop In Bed & Dirty Home
I am hoping that VRBO is going to do the right thing and help us get a refund since the VACASA Management team has done nothing and they are the ones at fault.
We rented a home from Vacasa for the month of July. The day we arrived the house was filthy. My wife and mother had to mop the floors, then had to clean the tops and inside the drawers of the dressers, the kitchen table had sticky liquid on it, the fridge had left over food debris in it, the blinds were very dirty and the WORST PART WAS THE RAT POOP AND RAT HAIR IN OUR BED THAT NIGHT!
When we contacted management they offered to relocate us to another unit but those units did not have enough beds and were not pet friendly so they were not an option. We requested a refund on Jul 3rd but was informed they would be off for 4th of July and would contact me when they got back on Monday. They NEVER contacted me again. We ended up talking with the owner when he came by the house and he was accommodating and said that Vacasa is supposed to be cleaning and maintaining the house and he was ok with them providing a refund. For the next few weeks we had to keep letting pest control in and out of the house to set traps and clear traps that had captured the rats.
Now a month later and the local management team had done NOTHING! When we reached out to corporate, they told us that it was the local teams decision on how to compensate us... They offered us 15% off our next stay but we do not need another rental from them.
