We absolutely loved staying here! Clean, comfy, everything we needed and more. It is a great location to everything! We will definitely stay again. The owners were easy to reach and responses were quick!
Perfect location!! Walked to everything we needed in Beaufort. The house was so charming and the hosts were quick to offer suggestions for restaurants. Would definitely rent here again.
Relaxing stay and great porch for watching Morning Doves, squirrel (James Nuts) ha, Mocking Bird (Frenzy) ha.
Ideal cottage for walking and enjoying Beaufort. Hosts were the best.
We loved the cottage...small but perfect for us. Private, clean and very comfy. We could walk to everything and absolutely loved Beaufort! Note about the bathroom...it is very small and if you are a large person, it may be difficult to navigate. We will definitely stay here again! The Host was great.
We stayed at the "hideaway" for a quick little coastal getaway tacked on to a family reunion in another part of the state. It was very cozy and welcoming, and very clean!! It was an easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants downtown and an easy drive to Morehead City and Atlantic Beach should you choose to venture to either of those places. Very peaceful neighborhood. Wonderful hosts!
The Hideaway cottage hosted by Steve was wonderful and perfect for 2. Beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The location is a quick walk to dining and great Harbour watching. Nestled in the historic district we loved the cottage and the location. Would highly recommend
Convenient & safe location, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, historic sites & harbor. Ideal location for Cape Lookout excursions. Cottage was updated, clean & very comfortable, perfect for couples & even had a bonus second bath not mentioned in listing. Kitchen was fully equipped. Host was very responsive & accommodating. Highly recommend!
Great Location and place. Why is it limited to 2 people when there are 4 beds and 2 baths?

Great little cottage; centrally located to shops/restaurants. Really nice. Only suggestion is to put blinds on door.

That’s a new door that we just installed to allow more sunlight in. A blind to cover the glass is a great idea. We’ll add...... Enjoyed having you. Come back soon.

Keep Coming Back!
We love the Hideaway. It has everything you need and it's super convenient to restaurants, stores, wildlife, attractions etc. The cottage is set up as a quaint getaway for a couple or for a fun weekend for two couples.
We love this place and plan to continue to stay here wen we can.
Our best anniversary trip ever. Steve, our host, did everything possible to provide the perfect stay. Adorable mini home, well stocked, cozy and convenient to restaurants, coffee houses, etc. we parked and walked. It was hard to leave!
The owners, Steve & Gail Bishop, also own VRBO listing 339427. We love this place so much we bought the adjoining property so we could rent it for others to enjoy as well. We are the previous owners of the sailing charter business, LOOKOUT CRUISES, located on the Beaufort docks.
Why they chose this property
If you will review our listing on VRBO, 339427, you will see this is the coolest location in Beaufort to stay. Everything is within walking distance.
What makes this property unique
We tell everyone that once you arrive, park your car, you will not need it. There are 16 fantastic restaurants within 2 blocks and lots of locally owned shops within a few minutes walk. The NC Maritime Museum with Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge exhibit is around the corner. Other attractions include the Beaufort Historic Grounds, The Old Burying Grounds, historic homes tours and plenty of water activities.
