The only true waterfront rental house with water views from almost every room and a private dock, 10 steps from your door! Very relaxing and natural decor-everything blends in with the beautiful water that is just steps from your back door. When you enter the king size master suite, you will be overwhelmed by the view. It has its own bath and a large glass-walled view with access to a private deck. Enjoy watching dolphins, boats, sunrises and sunsets on the calm waters of Taylor Creek. The second master suite has a queen bed with full bath and partial water view. The kitchen has an open floor plan with a breakfast bar and a large pine dining table that seats 8 and allows everyone a view of the wild ponies and sailboats. The second story deck with spiral stair affords gorgeous views all the way to the Atlantic ocean and Shackleford Banks-a perfect sunset watching spot for cocktails! You can walk or bike to town every day or night for lunch and dinner in Beaufort's historic downtown where there is no shortage of restaurants and ice cream parlors. This is a kid-friendly town where streets are all flat and perfect for bicycling. Air filtration/ ionizer unit in living room to aid air quality and virus removal. NEW 38' FLOATING DOCK FOR 2022!

You must bring your own life jackets. Children or non swimmers are required to wear life jackets at all times when on the dock or near the water.

Great location! We loved being on the water. Excellent view of wildlife and scenery. Spacious interior and well-stocked. Very relaxing vacation. Plenty to do in Beufort and short drive to many beaches. Next time we will bring kayaks!!

Amazing Time

What a great place to stay! The owners are very accommodating and responsive. Close to everything like the historic town to walk to, breaches just right around the conner, and great home atmosphere with everything you need to kick back and enjoy so time away from the day-to-day work life. Highly recommend booking your next holiday here.

Another great family vacation in Beaufort!!

We had a great experience renting this house. We found things just as written in the listing. We asked where to find a few things, and the owner's were quick to respond. The house is lovely and clean. The ozonator is a great plus! We really enjoyed the dock, taking the big boat to Shackleford, and using a small boat to go over into the reserve shallows for fishing, birding, and beaching! Thank you!

Wonderful Rental!

My family rented this house for the first time this summer. We rent a house every year, but this is the first time we've stayed in Beaufort. The house was beautiful, all on one level, and well-stocked. The layout gives everybody some privacy and the common areas are comfortable with a great view of the water. The rooftop deck is a great addition. We watched fireworks from 5 different locations on the 4th! We loved sitting and watching the boats, and spotted the horses and dolphins on many occasions. Proximity to Beaufort was very convenient. Had a wonderful vacation. Thanks, Steve!

Great location but indoor air quality

We stayed for 5d in the winter. The property is on the channel, and it sits within a quiet neighborhood. The owners were responsive once we made contact with them. The decor is nautical and there are lots of board games in the unit for family time. However, we found ourselves minimizing our time in the unit because it was difficult for us to breathe. The owners, to disinfect the air and surfaces the he home, fill it with ozone between visitors. I have exercise-induced asthma, which I think this exacerbated. The property has been smoked in and pets have stayed there. We normally do fine around light amounts of these indoor allergens, but when we turned in for the night, we breathed dust and dander from the comforters and developed stuffy noses and more coughing. I had difficulty breathing and sleeping during the nights.

Our stay could not have been better. Lovely house, fabulous views of the water (and horses) from inside the house, very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood, felt very safe. Loved exploring (and shopping) in Beaufort. We were there during "Erin", which had little to no impact on us. Couple of extra high tides, which caused some really minor road flooding. Certainly would choose this house again!

Wonderful mini vacation with friends.

We really enjoyed this beautiful, comfotable home on Taylors Creek.We spent most of our time on the dock wayching boats and the wild horses. We saw porpoises one evening.The house had everything we could possibly want or need for fun, comfort and cooking.It was nice to walk to town for shopping and restaurants. We even made the short trip to Atlantic Beach for a nice day at the beach.Perfect in every way.

Really special

As soon as you walk in the front door, you get the distinct feeling that you’re home. It’s cozy and has a nostalgic feel with the bathroom tile walls and quirky dining room chandelier. But the view is the best!! We saw and heard horses right across from the house, and though I didn’t see dolphins, I’m pretty sure I heard them one night. Great communication with the host, too. The house has everything you need to cook or bake and the furniture is very comfortable. It’s a 10 minute walk to downtown and the neighbors are super friendly. I can’t wait to go back!!

We want to stay here again!!!

This property is beautiful. Very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. This property is very well equipped as well. Beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the upper deck enjoying the views all the way to the ocean. We had daily views of the wild horses. We enjoyed watching them even from the comfort of the couch. The views are truly spectacular. We have vacationed in the Beaufort area for the past few years and my wife proclaimed that this is her favorite property by far.

Birthday in Beaufort

Great long weekend in November. Beautiful weather until Saturday when rain started. House was great location and very nice. Great sunset views and dolphins on the creek. Great restaurants in town and close to house. Trip to Cape Lookout was a great fun day. Plenty of room in home and very quite. Easy to walk to town on sidewalks. We rented a golf cart to zip around downtown. House is easy to enjoy all one level. Overall a wonderful weekend. Owners were super kind and response quickly. No issues. Easy arrival and departure. Stan was wonderful to work with and made it great!! Would go and enjoy again.

Best Vacation Ever....Again!

We have stayed here before many times and once again it proved to be one of our favorite places to vacation. The house is situated on Taylor Creek with a boat dock just steps away. This charming house is all on one floor and has amazing views of the water. We always enjoy watching the horses right across the creek on Carrot Island. It's just a few minutes away from shops and amazing restaurants in Beaufort. Communication with the owners is great and they always ask for suggestions to make the experience better (but I never have any). Thanks again for sharing your home. See you next year!

Wonderful place!

Our stay at this vrbo was top notch. Especially because....location, location, location! It just can't be beat. One night we even heard the wild ponies having a ruckus right across "the cut". The house is spacious and equipped with everything you need for a fantastic time. Highly recommend.

Relaxing getaway

We fell in love with this town while dropping our oldest son off at Camp Seagull in 2001.
We have brought our 4 boys here since then and they have all grown up loving Beaufort as well. 5 of us got certified for scuba here at Discovery Dive and we tend to make every vacation a diving opportunity. We hope to retire here one day-we finally got our boys out of college!!! We know you will fall in love with Beaufort too!

Carrot Island is right across the creek and you can watch the ponies and dolphins from almost any window. Private dock in backyard that does not even require you to cross the street!. 1 level living. Large windows and open floor plan bring the views all the way into the house. Deep water dock for serious boaters and sailors.
