Me and my pup had a wonderful stay here. It was clean and quiet. Exactly what we needed! Chris was helpful with anything I had questions about. I highly recommend staying here for a nice getaway. There's so many beautiful places around to see. I'll certainly be booking again soon!
Property was as describe and the host was great. The was clean and ready for our arrival. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Great ATV trail access. Would recommend for those looking to rest their head after a long day outdoors.
A great cozy place to get away from everything just make sure you do your research and are prepared as the closest town is about 20 minutes away Chris was also very helpful
We had a very relaxing stay at our rental. We stayed on the 1st floor and it was exactly like listed it had that camp like feel. ATV trail right next door for walks. WiFi and internet were excellent.!!
Property was conveniently located for a volunteer opportunity at nearby Millidgewock State Park in Errol. Two "Seniors" did not want to camp, preferring a hot shower, a comfortable bed and the ability to cook a normal meal after a full day in the field. The owner was very helpful in answering any questions we had about the property. We had a good stay.
We wanted to visit this particular area of New Hampshire without breaking the bank. Chris was an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. Even though the lodging has a "camp" feel to it, we found everything we needed for the weekend.
Due to the rainy summer weather, it felt damp and chilly when we arrived, but there were electric heaters to help warm the place (there is a wood stove and fire wood provided for cooler seasons).
Chris asks that guests clean the place before leaving or face potential cleaning fees through VRBO, which we found a bit unusual (because we always clean up after ourselves), but maybe there have been guests who have "trashed" the place. Do Chris (and yourself) a favor and leave the place cleaned up!
Overall, a good place to stay at a reasonable price.

Thanks for your feedback. Was a pleasure having you.
To clarify on the cleaning policy: We don't ask that folks fully clean the place before leaving - just that it not be left in a condition that takes us an unreasonably long time to clean after their stay. We don't tack on a big cleaning fee up front like most places nowadays, but ask that things like dirty dishes, refrigerator spills and splattered stove grease be dealth with by the guests to avoid a cleaning fee post stay. Yes, we've had prior guests leave the place in very poor condition, requiring 3 or 4 extra hours of additional cleaning in years past, which has led to the current policy.
Enjoy the rest of the summer! :)

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Dirty, unsafe
Railing on 2nd floor deck railing had no ballisters which was shocking and code violation. Dead ladybugs and mouse droppings in cabinets. Wood stove was caked with suit and ash and obviously safety hazard. Odor issues on first floor were almost enough to send us home. 2nd floor had tripped breaker and TV didn't work....owner thought it was batteries for remote. He seems very nice and is attentive. It's also glaringly obvious he doesn't sink $1 back into property. Internet weak, and is ext of owners internet not it's own. Beds EXTREMELY uncomfortable and not conducive to couples at all. The only bed larger than a twin was the queen that was bottom of home made bunk bed. There wasn't any furniture that was newer than 30 years and it was all awkward and super uncomfortable. I'm not being picky here but we paid alot to stay here and did not feel we got much value.

We know what this review is really about. Not cool.
First, you pulled in 3 hours before check in time, expecting it to be ready. You either didn’t read the listing, or you’re very focussed on what you desire and feel entitled to.
Second, you booked for the Jericho ATV festival weekend. The only weekend of the year where the rates for all lodging in the area is elevated because there’s so little lodging for such a big festival . You paid extra for lodging directly on the ATV trail on festival weekend. That was the value you got.
We don’t advertise as a couples retreat, with king size beds and new furniture. We have accurate photos and description of the property in the listing. Again, you either didn’t read the listing, or felt entitled to something more.
While I’m not surprised you didn’t appreciate that I made a 35 mile round trip to Walmart on Sunday to get replacement batteries for your TV remote, faulting me for thinking the TV wasn’t turning on because perhaps the remote batteries were dead, rather than figuring out that you somehow tripped a breaker, is quite unreasonable.
It’s a cabin in the woods - there are ladybugs, spiders, mice and mosquitos. We spray and clean and set traps regularly to keep things nice, but if you go rifling through the back of the cabinets you’ll find that there is no getting rid of all of it all the time. All these things, despite being alarming to some city folks, are quite normal in the country. When you book a property in the future I respectfully request that you read the listing, look at all the photos, and realize what it is rather than lamenting the gap between that and what you feel entitled to.
This property was accurately described and Chris was very accommodating and responsive, even meeting us at the house to review the ATV trails and surrounding stores if we needed supplies.
This property has an upstairs and downstairs, each is separate from each other and has full accommodations. This was perfect for our getaway as we had two couples and despite the rain one day, we stayed in our "spaces" and watched movies and relaxed.
It was perfect to leave from the property to jump on the ATV trails. Plenty of parking/space for two vehicles and 2 trailers.
We rented the whole house for our family. Owner was great at responding to messages and helpful . ATV trails started at end of driveway and that was great.
The cabin was in a great location, beautiful view, and had a nice outdoorsy feel to it. It was all set up & stocked for us. It’s close enough to some trails for hiking, a few lakes for swimming, fishing,or canoeing. There’s plenty of atv trails. It’s the perfect combination. The owner is easily accessible if needed. Made for a nice, relaxing weekend.
We stayed for almost the full week. We hiked and fished and had a great time. My daughter wanted to go shopping in Portsmouth so we left a day early. The property was wonderful and very clean. I wish we could have stayed longer.
