This property perfectly accommodated our family of 10. The view from the deck was stunning. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and it was great having family dining that could accommodate a large group as we cooked and ate most of our meals at the house. I highly recommend this property.
Host is very responsive and helpful. Cabin is a little older but comfortable and was great for our family. Lots to do in the area and the surroundings are stunning. The view from the deck, day and night, are worth every penny.
The view is absolutely stunning through the floor to ceiling windows. One of the highlights was laying out on the balcony at night time to see the stars. Never seen anything like it! The kitchen is mostly well stocked, although you will need to bring something to store leftovers (Tupperware type containers, or baggies, or foil). The loft is beautiful, like a master suite. It’s nice and convenient to have the main living orders all on the entry floor. We’ve traveled with individuals with mobility concerns, and this house would make that quite easy. Just one step to come down from where you park your car to get into the house and there are bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living area all on that same floor. The host is very responsive and addressed all of our concerns immediately. (we had trouble with the TV remote (resolved) and a ceiling fan remote). The bathrooms were well stocked with towels and amenities. The appliances are great. Tons of storage everywhere. We’ll be back!
We had a great vacation. The place was old but clean. The mattresses could use updating. Amazing views!!! The kitchen had plenty of utensils for cooking We would go back!
The perfect place for a wedding elopement. Beautiful views, cozy atmosphere, and a thoughtfully cared-for cabin. Our stay was truly special and unforgettable.
We had a great time here! The view was stunning and it was just the right space for our family of seven. The game room downstairs was perfect for our teenagers to have fun while we went to bed early after skiing all day! Mike was a great host and checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
We loved this location being closed to June Mountain, in a quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed including lots of cooking utensils and firewoods. Also a host was always available to answer my questions and very helpful. We’d love to come back again!
Hard to beat that view. Had a great time at a great place. Would give five stars but owner does need to do some work on stairs and hand railing down to bottom floor.
What an amazing place! Walking into the chalet and seeing 11,000 foot Carson Peak staring you in the face thru a wall of windows is amazing. Our extended family of 10 stayed for a week and were so sad to leave.
The Chalet is a great place for large gatherings to stay while in the Loop. We had a little problem with the DIRECTV in the main room, but, Mike, the owner was easy to work with and we corrected the problem. It's great that all the bedrooms have DIRECTV. Internet is great, best I've ever had while staying in the Loop, and we used our Netflix account to watch movies. Fireplace is fabulous, however, would appreciate leaving small kindling for help with starting the fire. The house was clean but it could use a new broom for picking up small stuff the vacuum couldn't reach. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were easy to use, although the listing should include the washer/dryer are in one of the bedrooms. Overall, the Chalet does deserve 5 stars for the location and scenery. I doubt there is a better view of Horsetail Falls from any other rental in the area.
