About this property

Welcome to the Kentucky Star, a private resort style oasis in the heart of Tampa. Perfect for large groups, this location offers two separate guest houses with their own kitchens, one with three bedrooms and the other with two bedrooms, and a multitude of spaces to gather together - or find a bit of solitude - depending on your mood.

Enter through the courtyard into a tropical paradise with a large heated in-ground pool, an outdoor kitchen (on top of the two respective kitchens inside of each guest house) and dining area, and a sprawling yard surrounded by palm trees and dotted with native american chickee huts, sun loungers, a swinging bed, a pool bathroom and more.

Perfect for Graduation

We stayed Friday -Monday for my daughter's grad from U Tampa. House comfortably fit our group of 10. Hosts were very responsive, including bringing a blanket at 9:00 on a Friday night. Small critique - need more glasses (plastic for pool area), a little more substantial blankets on bed, lower the door on the pool lavette. Master bath was AMAZING! I think everyone took at least one steam in our shower! And tikki hut with leather couches was THE hang out spot (nice and cool under there). Thank you.

Golf Weekend

We (four adult guys age 50+) stayed for 2 nights for a golf weekend in Tampa. Convenient locating to golf, restaurants and airport. House was great - recently updated. Indoor and outdoor areas were great. Will stay again on next trip to Tampa!

Riverside Heights and "The Heights" in general in Tampa is a collection of historice neighborhoods with an ever present growth of the best family and private owned restaurants, bars, cafes and venues. Centrally located, one can easily access Ybor City, Raymond James Stadium, Water Street, Armature Works and more in just 10 minutes or less, while other areas of interest like USF, Moffitt Cancer Center, Lettuce Lake Park, Hillsborough River State Park, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are within 15-25 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

Kentucky Star offers two separate guest houses, each with their own kitchens and unique bedrooms and bathrooms, which share the central swimming pool and outdoor space. The entire property is rented as one, so it is perfect for groups or families who wish to have some privacy but remain together as a group. Great for retreats as well, there are specific areas or yoga or meditation, and for corporate of business travelers there is enough separation to remain private yet many social areas to be shared. It's extremely unique for the area and the location is unbeatable!
