Please note:

During pollen season, the grounds are heavily covered. This is on a wooded lot, and although we do the best we can to keep it clear, it has the potential to be bad if you are sensitive to it.

Also, this home is NOT child-friendly. It has stairs, brick surfaces, and no safety features. There are also collectibles, toys & posters on display shelves and walls that some may find scary.

Relaxing, private, 80's theme house ready to transport you back. Every room is full of 80’s memorabilia.

3 bedrooms (King, Queen, and Single with Single pull-out Trundle) all with sound machines and fans.
1 full bath with walk-in shower (no tub), 1 half-bath, 1 sink area.

Private basketball hoop/ball, a large selection of board games for all ages, karaoke machine, and an Arcade1Up machine with tons of games.

Full kitchen stocked with everything you need : jellies, hot chocolate, tea, bottled water, popcorn, condiments, coffee, pot, and a Keurig machine with coffee and cold creamer. Oils, spices, condiments… basic cooking needs.

Large, private, wooded back yard with deck and dining set.

Washer and dryer available to guests staying 3 nights or more.
A grill is also available on the back porch, but you will need to provide your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

This place is amazing! We stayed here for a concert at Walnut Creek and it was a perfect location- a quick Uber ride. The time we spent at the house was so much fun. We loved walking around and checking out all the items collected. We sang some karaoke on the provided machine, played the arcade games, and hung out on the deck. The beds were very comfortable and everything was well taken care of. I would absolutely stay here again!!

The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to grill/cook sides. Bathrooms were stocked with towels and linens were clean. Overall one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve ever had.

All of the 80s decor was amazing and brought back many child hood memories. Had to watch nothing but 80s movies to keep with the nostalgia. House was very clean and a great location. Will be going back asap!

We love this house! Extremely clean, super cool theme. Owner was super friendly and responsive. The house had pretty much everything you needed. And I mean everything, coffee, Sara for your coffee, creamer. I even had mouthwash!The old school video games and board games were super fun and appreciated. Especially for those with kids.She left us bakes goodies on check-in. Which were delicious!

Absolutely an amazing stay. Completely accurately described. If you appreciate the 80's I can't think of a better experience. Great hosts (even left pastries). Easily slept 5. Full kitchen stocked with snacks. Plenty of extra toiletries.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this unique and memorable home! The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicative throughout our stay. Since we arrived late the night before, the host was thoughtful enough to offer us a late check-out the next day, which we really appreciated.One of the coolest things about the house is all of the fantastic 1980s memorabilia! It gave the home so much character and made the stay feel like a fun little trip back in time. The house was also very convenient and thoughtfully stocked, with plenty of towels, drinks in the refrigerator, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed.There are a few areas that could use some attention. The furniture, carpeting, and bed linens are showing some wear, and we also felt that the house could benefit from a deeper cleaning in some areas and brighter lighting throughout.Overall, though, we appreciated the host's hospitality, communication, and the unique experience of staying in such a fun 80s-themed home. With a little updating and extra attention to cleanliness, this could be an even more fantastic place to stay!

thanks for the feedback. Just a FYI- we stick with the 80s throughout the house and that includes furniture and stuff. If something isn't clean, I'm unaware so a note on what we can do better would be appreciated. We have blackout curtains in most rooms and lights throughout. If you stay again, feel free to open the curtains and turn the lights on. Should make it much brighter!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the 80's house! It was clean, well kept, and had everything we could want in a rental (pans, pots, stocked fridge, and even a bidet toilet seat). The most amazing part of the visit was spending hours looking at all the 80s stuff on the walls, shelves, and on top of furniture. I spent so much time explaining to my kids how I used to play and use all these things -- Walkman, instant camera, brick cell phone, cassettes, Cabbage Patch Kids, Garbage Pail Kids cards, etc. Overall, it was a wonderful place to visit and made our trip to take our daughter to visit NC State so much more enjoyable than we thought possible.

This beautiful 80’s themed home was warm, cozy, clean and had all the comforts of home with a lot of entertainment, just looking at all the treasures from the 80s. The host made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. The fridge, cabinets were stocked with everything. Fresh baked brownie bites, macaroons and a beautiful welcome note. The AC went off, but Adam came right over and fixed it immediately, and offered the house next door in case it went off again. It didn’t and we stayed. On the 3rd night I went out after dark to a beautiful light display in the yard.. I can’t really say enough positives and examples!!! For sure 10 stars and above. This house is a five minute drive from Coastal Credit Union Music Park (I timed it for this review). It is decorated with all 80s posters, cassettes, videotapes, albums and toys. The color scheme and patterns are 80s, too. It is fully stocked with coffee, tea, creamer, flavor bottles and snacks. This is a great house to stay in with late elementary school children and beyond because it is a time capsule of the 80s. I have seen every single movie shown in any form on the walls! The owner is responsive and also left us delicious homemade cookies. Stay here, rather than a hotel in downtown Raleigh if you’re going to a show at Coastal Credit Union.

I wanted to see Devo and Billy Idol at Walnut Creek & found the perfect place to stay! There’s all kinds of 80’s memorabilia around the house and made us feel like we took a trip back in time. Sooo cool! Hope I can stay there again someday! :)

We came to Raleigh to visit Family and needed a place to feel comfortable. This property was awesome and overwhelming all at the same time. The host Amanda was great with communicating and really made us feel welcome in the house. The decor was WOW, every time I looked at a wall I noticed something different. The games that were there were wonderful and my kids had a great time playing. Definitely would stay again when the time comes.
