This modern-rustic home overlooks Shenandoah National Park's majestic mountains, offering breathtaking views year round. Escape to a secluded 13-acre wooded property, ideal for families and friend groups celebrating special occasions or seeking a peaceful getaway. The house is beautifully designed and comfortable, offering inviting common spaces for cooking, eating, playing, and hanging out and private nooks for getting lost in a book, relaxing, or peacefully catching up on work.
THE PROPERTY:
Picture your family or friend group soaking in the hot tub after a hike in Shenandoah, then sipping cocktails/mocktails on the deck as the sun sets behind the mountains. As the light fades, you share a meal around the farmhouse dining table while taking in twilight views from the 270 degree-windows. Afterwards, everyone gathers around the fireplace in the living room to relax, or heads to the fun room downstairs for an epic movie night on the 7.2-surround sound system (complete with Dolby Atmos), a karaoke competition, or a tournament of skee ball, foosball, or video games on old-school Ms. Pac Man arcade console. Before bed, you sneak onto the deck for a few moments to gaze up at the speckled stars in the night sky.
ROOMS:
The primary bedroom on the main floor features a king-size bed, reading nook, ensuite bathroom with walk-in closet, and a wood-burning stove fireplace.
The Queen room on the second floor opens up to some of the best mountain views on the property, while the wistful and enchanting third bedroom features a full-over-queen bunk bed, perfect for sharing. The upstairs “Jack and Jill” bathroom includes a bathtub and dual vanity.
The downstairs can serve as a fourth bedroom, complete with full bathroom, a comfortable queen-size pullout sofa bed, and a foldable cot.
WORK SPACES:
For those who need a quiet space to catch up on work or telecommute, both the primary bedroom and downstairs feature dedicated work spaces with standing desks, docks to connect your laptop to a 23-inch adjustable monitor, and comfy office chairs.
This home is perfect for couples, families, or groups looking for a “work from home” or “remote working vacation” destination (please inquire about longer-term stays, even if some dates are already blocked off; we have some flexibility, especially if you’re booking in advance).
KITCHEN:
The kitchen is a chef’s dream, with a full-size oven, 5-burner electric stove, microwave, standing mixer, blender, citrus juicer, toaster, Nespresso, drip, and French press coffee makers, bar set, and a variety of pots, pans, and baking implements to whip up anything from a relaxed breakfast to a luxurious dinner.
There is also a three-burner gas grill on the deck. The dining room table can comfortably accommodate up to 12, perfect for hosting a Thanksgiving, Christmas, or other holiday meal.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
No matter the time of year, there’s something special to see and do in Sperryville, whether picking apples in the nearby orchards and taking in the Fall foliage, getting cabin-level cozy around the fire or in the comfort of the hot tub in Winter, or taking full advantage of scenic outdoor dining and culinary experiences at the nearby wineries, breweries, inns, and restaurants in Spring and Summer. And of course, you can enjoy the best nature has to offer with camping and hiking at any time of year.

Other things to note
*No pets allowed. (Sorry!)
*There is one security camera monitoring the front entrance.
*The house is up a significant driveway. In the case of inclement weather (snow, sleet, ice, etc), we recommend a vehicle with four-wheel drive. Two-wheel drive vehicles should have no problem getting up in normal weather, but may have to work to get up the steep climb.
*The parking pad can easily fit 4 cars, potentially more if you don’t mind some maneuvering.
*We offer high-speed satellite Internet with Starlink, which can stream HD movies and allow for teleconference. The connection may, however, occasionally cut out for a few seconds at a time. Harsh weather can also interfere with the Internet, so please plan accordingly. This is the best Internet option available in this rural part of the country, which lacks stronger broadband.
*Verizon and T-Mobile have workable LTE reception at this property, but it is an AT&T dead zone.
*All are welcome here. This listing is friendly to the LGBTQ+ community, immigrant communities, liberals, conservatives, people who want to ignore politics altogether, people of any and all religious persuasions, races, ethnicities, etc. We really don’t care as long as you’re nice, take good care of the property, and respect the community.
