Clean, quiet, and great for families
We came with 3 generations, including a toddler, and this adorable house was perfect for the group. It was clean, spacious, and quiet, which is particularly important when traveling with little kids who go to bed early and need to nap during the day. If you are looking to stay in the heart of the city surrounded by nightlife, this is probably not the place for you, but there are a few restaurants within walking distance, a 10min walk to the closest beach, and a quick car ride to everything else.
It was unclear what the relationship was between the hosts, who live nearby, and the management company, that handles check in and payment, but the hosts are lovely and extremely helpful.
Only one criticism: in general, the check-in/access/key situation could use some improvement. In total, there are five different keys for the various locks required to get in and out of the unit. Then there is a sixth key, stored elsewhere, for leaving the gated community on foot. Otherwise, you must enter and exit through the communities main entrance several blocks away. Once we learned about the pedestrian key access was much more convenient. And make sure you have cell reception for check-in otherwise you will not be able to receive the initial access code. Even with cell reception it took several phone calls to be granted access, ultimately getting us in about an hour after check-in. Inconvenient but a minor hiccup given the rest of the stay was so wonderful.
