About this property

Mountain Top Glamping w. Dr. Seuss Theme Cat in the Hat on Wheels with Heat

Enjoy glamorous 'camping' 1700 feet above sea level in this off-grid tiny house on wheels in the theme of Cat in the Hat. Panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains just 2.5 hours from NYC! Ideal for couples. It's one of 5 unique structures on our 4 acre organic farm.

Newly constructed in 2024, this fun and immersive experience takes you inside the fictional house from the beloved Dr. Seuss children's book. There are falling lamps, a flying kite, bouncing ball, larger than life portrait of the Cat himself, and the frantic-grumpy gold fish!

The Space

Just outside the house you'll find your Weber propane barbecue grill with outdoor table and benches. Use the ice filled cooler provided to store your burgers, hot dogs and other food items. We provide all the cooking utensils, silverware, paper plates, napkins, coffee mugs, and other kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, tissues, etc.)

You're provided with a lantern, thermos of pre-boiled hot water and 2.5 gallons of sink water for washing up and brushing teeth. There is a small heater available for the colder months.

Super cozy queen sized bed, and 2 large windows that prop open allows a cool breeze to sweep through the space as you sleep. House is fully insulated keeping you cooler in summer and warmer during colder months.

You are welcome to use the real bathroom in the owners house on the first floor through a designated entrance and is for guest use only. Shower is available too and is open 24/7. Just 20 steps from your actual accommodation.

If you're here during a clear night, you will be dazzled by our star gazing and wonder in awe at how clearly you can see the Milky Way from our field.

Walk our secluded dirt road and visit the animals at the nearby farm (Lamas, sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks, chickens). Other nearby attractions is the Kaaterskill Waterfall, Zoom Flume water park, Howe Caverns (underground caves) and Greenville Drive-In-Theater.

The highlights:

- Queen sized mattress with full bedding.

- 2 bar stools and raised eating table.

- Outdoor Picnic table and 2 benches.

- Bar style sink with access to water storage tap.

- Propane Weber BBQ grill. (propane included)

- Complimentary 4 gallon cooler, pre-filled with frozen water bottles.

Guest access:

NOTE: The tiny house is located in the owners driveway and therefore only a few feet from our house. The nearest other glamping cabin is 40 feet away. You will have privacy but I just want you to be fully aware there are other buildings and other guests within a stones throw.

If you are concerned with the proximity of our house and other cabins, we recommend checking out our other 3 cabins. The Buck, The A-Frame and the Stargazer. All of those are more than 150 feet from other cabins.

Other things to note
Note: Campfires are NOT ALLOWED to be made by guests at any time. At this elevation in the mountains the wind can get quite strong. This is why we provide a propane gas grill for your cooking needs.
