This property was perfect for our family to have a get away and enjoy the river. The kitchen was set up with all the conveniences to cook nice meals for our family. The grandkids loved playing outside in the woods. Great host who provides quick personal feedback when needed. We loved our stay.
This property was so lovely and so serene. Our bed was very comfortable. Anything you could want in the kitchen you will find in this home. Tons of games and puzzles, and fishing just steps away. We actually had more fun watching and chatting with the people floating down the river!! Wildlife roaming around the house to include families of deer, turkeys, and a gray fox. Complete instructions were left by the host to answer any questions regarding the operation of the house itself. All in all, one of the best hosts and properties we’ve visited!
Wonderful forest secluded river family home. A bit off the beaten tract but close to everything Rogue has to offer. Be one with nature. Turkeys, deer and Canada geese right outside the door. Easy walking in the woods. Long dirt road to the house hard to traverse the first time but easy after. Communication with the owner about this was great.
Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Convenient location for getting to Crater Lake in 1 hour and Redwoods in 2. Also, easy access to Medford and Grants Pass, though the grocery store in town has all you need to picnic or cook.
Quiet location, comfortable home with everything we needed for a great stay. We thought River access might be a little easier based on the picture of the river in the listing. We enjoyed the both the indoor and outdoor spaces when we were chilling.
We love this property, it's comfortable, clean and you cannot beat the river. We have stayed here several times and love it. It's close to the lake so we take the boat and have made many memories, thanks for always being such a great host!
Property was amazing. Stunning views, just a short walk out the door to the river. The house had everything we needed. The check in and check out process very easy. Communication with property owner was easy! We absolutely loved the home. It was so clean and comfortable. We will be back.
The home is very clean and welcoming plenty of room for a family. The area is quiet and peaceful and is right on the rogue river. We were able to see lots of wildlife during our stay such as deer, wild turkeys, and rabbits. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend this prpoerty who is looking for a quiet and secluded getaway.
We had 3 family memebers from 4 states meet here for a long weekend. Small family reunion. Plenty of space to visit, beautiful view and well stocked. Very secluded and a luttle hard to find, but after finding it, it was easy to get to and from. We hope to come back next year!
Moms 92nd bday. The place has EVERYTHING you may need.Amazing location. Wendy the host so accomadating ! Very clean and comfy! Location amazing!Thank You for everything!
Our family really enjoyed our stay here. Great space for everyone to spread out. We saw wildlife daily (wild turkeys, loons, deer and lots of birds). We had hoped to fish here, but the river was too rapid. We still loved sitting by the river and listening to the lulling sounds of it. The property owner was very responsive when we had a plumbing issue, and it was fixed very quickly. Would stay here again!
Place was fabulous for 5 of us. Lots of room - both inside and out. Very beautiful and quiet property. Great for relaxing with family and friends. Owners were very responsive and great to deal with. Answered the couple of questions we had within minutes! Would definitely stay again!
A little off the beaten path but what a wonderful place! 15 minutes down a dirt road and you’re in your own little world. Deer and turkey all around and the river’s in the front yard. Great place to bbq and relax, landed a couple stealhead as well.
Wonderful, warm home. Enjoyed the extensive variety of books and the perfect quiet place to read them.
Overall this was a great quality time with family. We hiked to a few waterfalls, rafted down the Rogue, fished and played card games.👍😊

About the host

My husband and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where we've raised our family while running our own creative business. Years ago we discovered the Rogue River and immediately fell in love with its peaceful beauty, abundant wildlife, and slower pace of life. We hope our home becomes a place where you can unplug, reconnect, and create lasting memories with the people you love.
Why they chose this property
This property has been in our family for many years, and we've been fortunate to spend countless vacations here. The combination of complete privacy, towering trees, and 600 feet of private Rogue River frontage makes it unlike anywhere else we've found. Whether we're fishing, watching the wildlife, or simply enjoying the quiet from the porch, this has always been our happy place.
What makes this property unique
The home sits on 19 private forested acres with 600 feet of exclusive Rogue River frontage, giving guests plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature without crowds or neighboring homes nearby.
Our favorite spot is the full-length porch overlooking the river. It's the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, watch deer wander through the property, spot bald eagles and osprey soaring overhead, or end the day listening to the sounds of the river.
Although the property feels wonderfully secluded, you're only minutes from the restaurants and shops of Shady Cove and within easy driving distance of rafting, fishing, hiking, waterfalls, and Crater Lake National Park.
Even though the property feels secluded and peaceful, it’s just a short drive to the restaurants and small-town charm of Shady Cove, and within easy reach of Crater Lake and many of Southern Oregon’s best outdoor destinations.
