The Retreat is the perfect getaway for someone who is looking to rest and relax, while also enjoying all that nature has to offer. Whether you plan to come and never leave The Retreat or you plan to venture out into nature, there is plenty do. Or, if you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries and take in the beautiful scenery in a very comfortable and cozy setting, you've found the right place.
There are hiking trails, waterfalls, mountain biking, tubing, white water rafting, fly fishing and many other outdoor activities to keep you busy during your stay. We'd be happy to share our favorites with you.
Mountain Rest Lake is a private lake, only accessible by home owners or guests. They do not allow motorized boats, so it's very quiet and peaceful on the lake year round. There are four kayaks and a canoe, along with life jackets, at The Retreat, accessible to our guests.
There is a hot tub and plenty of outdoor seating, if you prefer to stay put and rest and relax.
