The studio apartment was exactly what we needed. So cozy and well stocked. The heat and AC were great. Very convenient location for restaurants etc. Looking forward to next time.

Great rental
Second time staying. Great location and wonderful rental. Rachel added a antenna to TV for local channels so I enjoyed having local news on for white noise while working... Thanks.

This wasn’t a bright open studio apartment. It was a basement that was redone. It had windows, which was nice, but you certainly couldn’t walk to shops and local activities. It’s far from the town. The proprietors are very nice, but the home smelled musty, and there was mold underneath the kitchen sink.
We came to Hickory for my wife’s work as a traveling nurse. Our permanent residence is in Asheville (Swannanoa). Hurricane Helene had devastated WNC the week before our visit. The apartment was a great refuge for 10 days.
The apartment worked great for my wife and myself. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Rachel was great host.
Overall pretty good. Good location for our needs and reasonable price. Kept getting emails : "has replied to your message". But I didn't send a message(s). Then on the day before checkout I sent a message asking to extend my stay by a day. Never got a reply. I have come to the conclusion that VBRO is not for every occasion or for everyone. Hotels still serve the purpose if there is any uncertainty on the length of the stay or if the need arises to get in touch with a manager.
