The Flying Cloud is a wonderful place to stay, fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area with fireplace, comfortable bed and nice full bathroom with a tub big enough to soak in and that's just indoors. There is also lots of comfy outdoor seating as well. Diane is a very friendly and considerate host.

We had such a lovely relaxing time over New Years. It was a wonderful way to start the new year with a mother/daughter getaway at the Flying Cloud cottage, just what we needed.We particularly appreciated the special, thoughtful touches by Diane. There was a nice selection of sweetbreads and jam for our enjoyment, but , in particular, we were so touched by the bottle of champagne and two glasses she left styled and chilling in the fridge for us to bring in the new year.We will hopefully be back soon.Thank you again Diane.Jacquie and Alison

Flying Cloud was just what my husband and I needed after a busy time with family. The charming rooms and well treed setting steps from Lake Ontario offered the peace and beauty we needed. Proximity to great restaurants and shops down the road added to our time. Clean and cozy with a warming fire, we were immediately at ease upon arrival. The kitchen is well supplied with everything you need and includes a rather delicious welcoming basket and message from a very attentive host. The bed was most comfortable and the linens immaculate. We intend to return.

The cottage was lovely - so well located on a quiet street in an amazing neighborhood, just a two minute walk to the lakeshore. Morning coffee sitting on the front porch was a great start to each day. Lovely cottage!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Flying Cloud. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and cozy, and has a beautiful gas fireplace in the living room which kept the room warm and inviting. Diane, our host, was very helpful, she suggested places to eat and wineries to visit. We will certainly be returning for another visit!

Being a seventh generation native to Niagara-on-the-Lake, & having grown up here, I have experienced the vast changes from a sleepy hollow to a thriving tourist town. One aspect that remains to this day within our village, is the historic beauty... accompanied by the breath-taking geographic location, and the warm, friendly sense of community.

Why they chose this property

Situated on one of the prettiest streets in one of the "Prettiest Towns in Canada", I instantly fell in love with this enchanting cottage.....the dark green woods shading it & the sweet smell of cedar upon entering the front porch. A feeling of peace & tranquility swept over me & I knew I was home.

What makes this property unique

The minute walk to the ever changing lake & magnificent sunsets make the Flying Cloud unique in every season !
Chautauqua was always, & remains to be the "magical" cottage area of town. At the turn of the century it housed the Chautauqua Ampitheatre in the centre hub of it's spoked street design....providing live theatre & entertainment to cottagers, town folk, & tourists throughout the summers.
