Nice house in nice location, poor security, no working refrigerator and problematic cleaning staff

The vrbo house on Mercer island, washington, was well-located and appropriately furnished. However, the refrigerator never worked, one bed had crumbs in it, and, most concerning, the front door security system—- which was supposedly set to self-lock—failed. We found ourselves with an intruder at 2 am.

Not worth the rate

Weird situation, someone lives in the basement with a curtain over a door.at the bottom of the stairs, 3rd bedroom is a twin queen bunk, no two doubles + queen as advertised, 4th bedroom is what was the dining room, with curtains to separate it from the kitchen. View is amazing, but the driveway is treacherous, high centered my Highlander trying to get down it, parking is maybe one spot at best, no street parking as advertised, kitchen is not equipped for cooking. Patio is shared with basement occupant and people were in the front yard picking up Amazon packages and taking them to the house next door with paper over the windows. Downstairs occupant was watching us on the deck. Not at all a private retreat. Bath towels were few and tiny, no side tables or lamps. Kitchen vent fans inoperable. No AC. People traversing side yard to get to basement late at night, talking loudly.
