Wilkins Townhouse | Natchez, MS Historic 3/3 | Full Kitchen | Private Courtyard | Walk to Downtown
Built in 1835, Wilkins Townhouse has an ambience of spacious elegance. Once home to the Natchez Chamber of Commerce, the 3000 square foot home was updated recently. The townhouse has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a new kitchen, and two covered porches overlooking a serene courtyard. The main floor features crisp white interiors and 12-foot ceilings.
Two of the bedroom suites feature ensuite bathrooms with a shower and double sinks, and a private sitting room with TV adjacent to each bedroom. Guests will enjoy the original mantles, molding, and floors, as well as the antique 'six over six' windows, allowing for plenty of sunshine. The 3rd bedroom and bathroom are located on the ground floor, along with the kitchen, washer/dryer, and a large family room, complete with dining tables and TV. The new kitchen has stainless appliances, ice-maker, coffee makers, and all the cooking basics.
Both floors have covered porches that provide access to the iconic courtyard, all perfect spots for coffee or cocktails. The meticulously landscaped private courtyard is complete with statuary, seating for 16, and flowerbeds. Guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or a peaceful afternoon in the gardens while still being close to Downtown Natchez.
Located in the heart of the Historic District, one block from Antique Row and two blocks from Main Street with a varied selection of shops and restaurants, the location is ideal for sightseeing, one block from Historic Stanton Hall and a short walk to the Bluffs of Natchez for a magnificent view of the Mississippi River.
Note: The kitchen separates the 3 rd bedroom from its bathroom.

The place was beautiful and in a perfect location. Plenty of room. Beautiful courtyard. The host was helpful and responsive. We would love to stay here again.
Cool old place from 1835. Comfortably up dated. Plenty of room to expand and relax even though we didn’t have much time for that. Walking distance to downtown and the bluff walkway as well as many of those homes we went to see.

Amazing Trip
We loved our stay at the Wilkins Townhouse. It was perfect for our sister trip with our spouses. It was in a great location downtown to walk to local restaurants and beautiful homes. We were close enough to walk to the river overlook and Farmers Market on Saturday.
The home had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The living space had room for us all. We played games and relaxed in the evenings. It was a wonderful stay. We would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone interested in staying in Natchez.
Everything was as described! Loved sitting in the courtyard. House was perfect! So close to everything Natchez has to offer!! Will definitely stay again!
This property was perfect 5 girlfriends to get away for the weekend. It was close and in walking distance to a majority of downtown! Perfect courtyard for morning coffee and afternoon wine!
Rented this property for my wife's 50th Birthday getaway weekend. We stayed here with two other couples and had a wonderful time. The property is as described, if not better than. It is located within walking distance of downtown Natchez and all of the shops, taverns and restaurants.
This was a great location. I was a little leary about booking because I did not see any reviews. However, it was perfect for our girls trip and would also be great for three couples.
Once at the property, just park and walk throughout downtown Natchez..
Top floor is set up suite style with 2 bedrooms with attached bath and sitting area.
Bottom floor has a large room, one bedroom, kitchen and bath.
Everything was wonderful

Upstairs/Downstairs
Entering from the upstairs, the house really was a Wow! The two beautiful suites were bright, spacious and well decorated - a sense of grace in the historic house. Then descending to the lower living level, it felt more like the servant's quarters. The ceilings were expectedly much lower, but the minimal lighting and dark tile floors felt spartan. The guest room here was much smaller and simpler in decor, with it's bathroom off the adjacent kitchen. The small kitchen space was simply equipped with plates and basic cookware but lacked any serving pieces for salads and food. The very large gathering space was furnished with only bench seating, 4 wooden chairs and two small, upholstered chairs so sitting together with our group of 6 was limited. A comfy sofa and soft area rugs would have made that space more inviting and livable. That all said, the location was great and the large courtyard was lovely.

Junkin on the River Weekend
The house is nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable and we had several good and restful nights of sleep. Some of the chairs were not all that comfortable to sit in for a long period of time; i.e. watching SEC football games.
The downtown location was ideal for the event we came to Natchez. It is located 1 block off one of the main streets with shops and restaurants/cafes. Other venues were easily accessible from this location. Natchez is a series of one way streets, so once you review the layout, it is not so hard to navigate from one point to another.
The only downside we found to the house's location is the side street. It seems from the late night hours to the early morning hours, the street is used to see how fast and how loud you can get from Commerce street to Pearl street. If it was not the loud exhaust, then it was the thumping audio coming from the vehicles. Our guests, who were on the house's street side, resorted to earplugs, sleep aids and masks.
