The property was clean, plenty of beds and in a great location with a beautiful setting! The host was wonderful and quick to respond to the couple of questions I had. There were nice little extra touches that you don’t always see in rental homes. Our family had several adults, 4 children and a golden retriever, and it was perfect for us!

A very nice, spacious place for a long wknd get away with girlfriends. The communication with the owners was excellent and we had a great time. Check in and out was very easy and lots of supplies for cooking and a BBQ. The deck and fire pit area was perfect for outside relaxing The pool was a little far and only access to one pool location when two was advertised, but it worked out nicely.

We had an amazing stay at Shanty Creek Resort! The home was perfect for my family of 10 there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable, and the location was ideal with the slopes just a few minutes’ drive away. The host was fantastic and very responsive to any questions we had, which made the whole experience even better. This place was a 10 out of 10, and we would absolutely stay here again!

This place was perfect for our big group! Had everything we needed to host Thanksgiving together. The kids loved the bunk bed room and the downstairs living room for playing, and the pool was so nice as well and great activity for the kids. Everything was clean and very nice, couldn’t recommend it more! And definitely go to Short’s if you stay here, the beer is great!

This place as beautiful inside and outside. In a fantastic location and even with other cottages around it was quiet and private. The fire ring outside was all of our favorite spot. Having pool access at the resort which had two pools to choose, one inside and one outside. Such a relaxing point and vacation. When we go again we will be staying here. The Blackstone was awesome to use and makes me want to purchase one. The whole cabin was just fun and the kids bunk room was pretty neat. Several golf courses to choose and I recommend the Chief. Is a beautiful course to play. Definitely will go back. The host was great with communication and gave a lot of advice on stuff to do around the area. Thank you for that and making our trip awesome.

Great location to skiiing! Clean, cozy, spacious (there were 12 of us 13-50) & well stocked with linens, games, & kitchen supplies to cook! Will definitely stay again when we come back.

Shanty Creek Escape was a great place to stay for our families while skiing the long Presidents’ Day weekend. Our hosts, Danielle and Craig made the experience absolutely seamless. The house is located very close to the ski lifts, tubing, Mancelona and Bellaire. The sleeping arrangements are some of the best we’ve experienced. We comfortably slept 12 with room to spare. Last Minute Ski Weekend

We were lucky to find this gem for a last minute ski trip with our adult children and friends. It accommodated my husband and myself and 12 young adults comfortably. Everyone had a bed to sleep in, and plenty of towels for our showers after a long day of skiing. Danielle and Craig have done a lovely job with updates and all I wanted to do was snuggle on the couch in front of the fire and read a book. The cabin is within minutes of the ski hill and tucked away in a charming community with plenty of privacy. We did not have any major issues, but the little questions I did have were responded to quickly. Thank you Danielle and Craig for being a part in helping us create memories with our children!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very cute and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We were really happy they had a flat top grill, since my mom has an allergy to charcoal, so it was great that we had another option for grilling. I highly recommend staying here. The hosts respond in a timely manner, we were worried due to recent flooding around the state, and they looked into for us to make sure we could get to and from the cabin without any issues.
