Bad Showers: Weak Stream from Heads, No Safety Rails
To be fair, I am an amputee (left leg below the knee). The shower heads in both showers are so poor that water took a full minute just to get myself wet, and showers took extra, extra long (20+ minutes), costing more water and money. I normally take a 8-10 minute shower at home. Rinsing off the soap took the longest. Even worse, there were no safety handrails in either shower. The shower heads and unsafe absence of shower rods were the biggest disappointments overall. The front bathroom tissue roll rod was loosely in the drywall, and a bump caused it to fall on the floor. It had obviously been repaired before, but never caulked and repainted, so it looked like the repair was still in process. The lock on the bathroom door does not work. Some clothing or towel hooks in the baths and a curved shower rod in the front bath would be helpful touches. There was a piece of exterior wood veneer left of the front door that was dilapidated and coming off and needed attention. It doesn't make a good impression when a guest arrives for the first time. The flooring between the kitchen and the living room is curling up, brittle, chipping, and cracking. Not good for our toddlers to find and put in their mouths. It gives the appearance of being the result of water damage. The metal bed in the queen room is loose and quite noisy when sitting or moving around on the bed. It can be heard throughout the house. Perhaps someone should tighten up all the bolts or replace it with something sturdier.
