Just like the pictures!

4 adults and 3 children stayed in this home and it was a comfortable stay and the description of the property is very accurate. We felt safe in the neighbourhood and there was lots to do nearby.

Ferndale Thanksgiving

Several friends gathered for Thanksgiving week and we couldn’t have found a nicer, more convenient house if we tried! One of the best provider of pots, pans and utensils in a short term rental we’ve ever stayed in! Would definitely rent again!

Great place, no complaints whatsoever. Easy to find, good checkin checkout, everything clean, well stocked. Plenty of room for sleeping. Showers had toiletries available. Good place, definitely would stay again if reason to be in this area

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at this house. The neighborhood seemed very safe. Enjoyed walking to dinner at the Ferndale Project and then our grandson enjoyed the playground across the street. It was centrally located for our trips to the Zoo and the Henry Ford Museum. Very good communication with host. House had everything we needed.

Gem in Ferndale

We visited the Detroit area for a weekend to see an exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum. The property was a short drive from the museum. We were very pleasantly surprised by being so close to the restaurants and shops along 9 mile and Woodward. Very comfortable space, though the basement was a bit chilly this time of year. There was plenty of space for all of us (5 adults). Beds were comfortable and cozy. All the amenities described were present and working. (Though we didn’t use the washer or dryer.)

our stay was great I did have one person who is a chronic smoker he smoked outside the house in the backyard but I do understand how could seep inside the house if you plan on staying here and you have someone who just needs to smoke every day it probably won't be a good idea even if you walk a bit far away it still might be smelt but the house is clean the vibes were cool it took a while to find the air conditioning but once we did it was great check-in was easy there's a nice backyard and there is a fire pit

My name is Madeleine. I am from California, but grew up visiting my family in the Detroit metropolitan area. I love Michigan and have strong roots in the region. I run a small short term rental company that I started with my late mother. It was her dream to buy a property in Ferndale. I'm happy to have been able to fulfill that vision, which is why I named it Heather's house in memory of her. I've been hosting for over 3 years now and I love what I do. I really enjoy interior design and loved designing this space. I am a big traveler myself and I enjoy creating a great guest experience.

Why they chose this property

This part of Ferndale has such a nice quiet neighborhood feel. It is very easy to walk downtown, it takes less than 15 minutes. Ferndale is a super cute town with a thriving artist community, there lots of good restaurants and shops in the area. It is also only a 20 minute drive to downtown Detroit. There are many cute towns closely as well.

What makes this property unique

The location of the house is great, super close to many things like downtown Ferndale, making it very walkable. The house itself has a number of different spaces such as multiple living/sitting rooms, spaces to gather outside and a fun space to play games like air hockey and foosball. This is the perfect house for a family vacation, a getaway with friends or just a peaceful vacation.
