This is a really lovely, well-kept house. The layout is wonderful, offering plenty of space for everyone to spread out, while also having ample room for spending time all together. There is so much attention to detail (like delicious treats for us on the dining table!), well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable seating. The host was so nice and extremely responsive each time I reached out. We loved this house and would definitely stay again!

Trip to Tanglewood

Our group of 3 couples stayed at the Swell House for a trip to Tanglewood. This house is perfectly located for Tanglewood and other area attractions. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and peaceful backyard.

Weekend Ski Trip

We loved our time staying here! It accommodated all eight of us easily, and had plenty of parking. The drive to Butternut Ski Resort was very reasonable as well. We will definitely be back!

Essentially Ana was the best host I have had. House was clean, nice and in a perfect location. We thought we had an issue with the grill (a self imposed error) and the next day there was a new grill in the backyard. They (Ana and her husband) went above and beyond. Every host on VRBO should take notes from them....

Stay in the Berkshires

The home is very conveniently located in Stockbridge and all the main sites. It is very spacious, with plenty of seating for a large group. The yard is enormous and scenic, and there is a pathway down to a rapidly moving stream, with chairs and a small table. Wonderful books are available in most of the rooms.

It is also the most perfect location to get a taste of the many excellent cultural and entertainment offerings in Stockbridge, Lenox, Great Barrington and surrounding towns.

Why they chose this property

Stockbridge is the quintessential New England town. There is nothing more relaxing than the green and scenic spaces and adorable houses with lots of character. One of the best treats of this neighborhood is the location. We are a few minutes away from Norman Rockwell Museum, The Mount - Edith Wharton's house, downtown Stockbridge, downtown Lenox, Turn Park Art Space, Tanglewood, the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Naumkeag, Chesterwood, Shakespeare & Co, and many more special places in the Berkshires.

What makes this property unique

The Swell House is gorgeous and cozy any season. It has so much character and plenty of good energy. Imagine having your morning coffee at the breakfast nook while enjoying a live show of birds flying around our Himalayan Dogwood Strawberry tree. We have a piano, a formal dining room, two living rooms, 5 bedrooms, a sturdy kitchen and lots of good vibes for everyone. Our house is surrounded by 2+ acres of lush land with magnificent trees and gorgeous imagery. Walk a few steps down to the brook to have your morning coffee, listening to nature, daydreaming or relaxing. We are a few minutes away from various cultural venues and great dining options in Stockbridge, Lenox and in surrounding towns.
