Great place with a modern farmhouse feel. The chickens and goats just outside our front door made our experience unique. We loved staying in the farmyard! The back patio area is wonderful with a peaceful water feature, chiminea and comfortable rocking chairs. Plenty of towels, kitchen well stocked complete with fresh eggs! We loved our stay!

True slice of heaven!

The only thing to say is this place is HEAVENLY! It’s away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough! The property is peaceful and welcoming. Definitely recommend and will be back!

We enjoyed our stay so much at the “Chicken House”. We wanted a place to celebrate our anniversary that was unique, fun and quiet and this place was it. We loved the accommodations, and plan to stay longer next time to enjoy them all. The animals were fantastic and added some extra fun for my wife and I. The owners were so attentive and communicated so well with us. They treated us like family and answered any question we had. We are looking forward to staying here again when we visit San Marcos as our go to place. Thanks to the owners for making it wonderful weekend away.

What a little hidden gem; from the moment we booked, the communication and hospitality was top notch…chef’s kiss!! We had such a relaxing time immersed in nature. 10 outta 10, would highly recommend and will likely stay again!! ✨

Everything was above our expectations! This is a hidden gem. All of the thoughtful things to make our stay memorable was all noticed. We had fire wood, s’mores and treats to feed the animals. Kiko was our best friend, and such a good pup. We will definitely be back! Oh and the soak in the clawfoot tub was 10/10 while I watched the Redbirds bathe in the fountain.

We loved this hidden gem of a location! Only about 12 minutes away from the university and fun things around to do. There isn’t a rooster on the property so you won’t be woken up by an alarm! The chickens and goats are super friendly and come up to you. We are already talking about planning a trip back but this time with our little kiddos to tag along. Jesse was super wonderful and fast to communicate with!
