The property is great for beach goers!

Overall a great experience: the host, the check-in, the cleanliness were all very good. The property manager also left lots of helpful tips about the area. The property was exactly what we wanted and close to everything, including the beach. The home had a few small quirks, but nothing that distracted from the stay or caused us any problems.

Close to a nice beach

Our family of 7 adults rented this unit and the lower unit for New Year's week. Beach access is great. The apartments are old, which isn't a bad thing, but there are updates that would make them more comfortable. The bedrooms lack side tables, accessible plugs for phones and places to put things other than on the floor. The closets are small and full of pillows/bedding, so that didn't help. We were able to cobble together items from both apartments for cooking, but it was a hassle and we had to carry items downstairs and back up before we left the house. There is no outdoor grill. The water pressure is poor. The most difficult thing was the power outage, which is not a "quaint" part of the PR experience you want to have on vacation, especially considering the cost of the units. We lost all power for 24 hours and again the next evening. We stay in rental homes because we have a large family and want to be able to cook. We had to go to the gas station to buy ice and pack our refrigerator groceries into the freezer (twice), which was a big hassle. We couldn't even plug in the coffee pot. These units have no backup generator, not even a partial to allow use of a couple outlets. Since there is no grill, we were out of luck with cooking and had to spend eating out. The prop manager's communications were about how he was also in a blackout, which wasn't helpful. No offer to reimburse for anything. A small gesture would have gone a LONG WAY.

Hi Carrie, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad you enjoyed the beach access and appreciate your feedback on areas that could improve. Regarding the power outage, we completely understand how frustrating that must have been. Unfortunately, the outage during New Year's affected over 80% of the island and was entirely beyond our control. While we always strive to provide a comfortable stay, unexpected island-wide issues like this can sometimes occur. We also want to clarify that we do not advertise a backup generator or an outdoor grill, as these are not amenities we currently offer. We always encourage guests to review our listing details to ensure our home aligns with their expectations. That said, we truly appreciate your suggestions and will take them into consideration. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you under better circumstances in the future.
