Great reunion spot

We had friends from class of 91 for the weekend - perfect location for Franklin street, and great home for hanging out — out patios, indoor spaces and the amazing kitchen!!

Lovely house - amazing location

Our family (7 adults) stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed this house. It was lovely with plenty of room, historic but had all the modern conveniences and steps away from UNC’s lovely campus. Highly recommend!

Our family of 8 stayed for a week in this beautiful, historic house, just a block from the lovely UNC campus. The home is elegant, beautifully furnished, and extremely well-equipped. We couldn’t have chosen better, and everyone agreed it was perfect.

Amazing House and Great Location

The house is just wonderful. It is a restored antique house with all of the amenities of a modern home and all the character of an antique house. You are just mins from all Franklin and Chapel Hill has to offer. There are 5 large bedrooms and most have en-suite bathrooms. The number of different sitting room and gathering spots is remarkable. The bedding and condition of all the furniture is first class. Note to future visitors there is very limited bath and shower products so fully bring your own and there is no meaningful coffee or tea supplies so expect to bring in 100 percent of your own needs.

The location of this home is outstanding and was the highlight of our stay. Once we settled in, we had an enjoyable visit. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by maintenance and cleanliness issues upon arrival.The refrigerator stopped cooling and was unusable for the first three days of our stay. Despite multiple phone calls and text messages, we were repeatedly told it needed a door latch, but it was never professionally inspected. Ultimately, we researched the issue ourselves and performed the simple procedure that restored it to working order.Despite being told the home had been cleaned shortly before our arrival, we found a coffee maker heavily covered in mold, along with dust, cobwebs, and some bugs in parts of the home. After seeing the condition of several surfaces, we rewashed the bedding and linens and did some additional cleaning ourselves as a precaution. A second cleaning crew came to the property a few days into our stay and addressed a number of the remaining issues. The driveway lights were also not functioning.This home has an excellent location, but it would benefit from more thorough cleaning, better preventive maintenance, and faster resolution of significant issues when they arise.

Was such a great stay at a unique and beautiful property. So conveniently located as well. The communication was excellent, the house is very well equipped and the beds are really comfortable. If you have any reason to be in Chapel Hill, this is the perfect property to make the stay memorable.
