A true slice of heaven on earth! If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect little place to stay. The location is absolutely beautiful, quiet, quaint, and peaceful. Annie is a fantastic host who takes wonderful care of her guests. Plus, the drive to and from State College is always a scenic adventure full of beautiful landscapes. Highly recommended!
My family and I loved the quiet cozy cottage feel. Great location for an easy drop off at Woodward Scooter Camp for my son. Great amenities and the communication with the owner was top notch!! Definitely worth another stay on the future!
This was an incredible renting experience. Annie was so welcoming, accommodating, and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. Wonderful location and beautiful, serene surroundings. Would absolutely rent this place again. Thank you for everything, Annie.
This is a truly delightful little country getaway - quiet and peaceful, woods and streams, neighboring Amish farms and buggies. The cottage is very homey, furnished with fun vintage pieces, all clean and comfy, centering around a warm gas-powered fire place. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom are all fully equipped as advertised. When I was having a little trouble with the internet, the host went out of her way to accommodate me. Annie was friendly and communicative, while respecting my privacy - during the whole stay. I highly recommend staying here - lovely little place, lovely people!

Not as private as I would like. Owner is living in adjacent property. Owner is great and respectful of privacy etc. but it is not as private as it could be.
This cottage is off the beaten path which is why it is so charming. It is in the Amish Country and everything around is very simple....perfect for us. Cottage has everything you might need and is easy to access. The GPS took us right there and the lock box worked as designed. We used it as a base for State College activities. It is 35 minutes away, but a beautiful drive.
This cozy little home is perfect for spending several days in the country. It is close enough to Millheim to get groceries, hand out at a winery, get coffee or beer; and yet be quiet and watch the Amish buggies go by as you sit on the front porch. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking, and the space is welcoming. It is located well for fishing, biking, hiking, swimming at Poe Paddy or just hanging out on the front porch. No TV ensures that you will relax, we did not miss it!
The home is within a quiet Amish community well away from most conveniences, and that was the best part for us. Annie created a beautiful and comfortable place to relax for a few days, and it was still close enough to activities, stores, and special destinations. The internet works very well, too, for those concerned about connectivity.
Everything is very clean, nearly all needs are provided, and there is even a binder that includes info about the area both practical and anecdotal--all in all, it is helpful to a person unfamiliar with the area.
Penn's Cave and Wildlife Park was a blast! I recommend this host--Annie--and her beautiful home to anyone trying to truly get away from it all for a spell.
