I didn't see the outside of the house before we got there so was a little surprized. But don't let the outside change your mind. The inside was as nice as the pictures show and the neighborhood was very pretty with many people out walking there dogs. Pretty houses in the neighborhood and a great coffee shop right next door. Very easy to walk to other areas of Uptown and to the Katy Trail. We really enjoyed our stay there. The host was also very easy to communicate with.
The space was as pictured. It had every amenity we needed. The beds and couches were comfortable. The parking spot in back always a little tight for our large SUV but we were able to find street parking in the front after the first night. The host left a notebook with a lot of recommendations for restaurants and also offered to answer any questions. It was a great stay.
Felt safe, plenty of room, e everything I needed for my 3 day stay with my granddaughter Very walkable to restaurants, Whole Foods and DART station. Would definitely stay again.
Post was super responsive and the place was amazing! Very clean and stocked with some of the necessities, spices, oil, toiletries. 4 minute walk to whole foods and cute area of town! Would highly recommend!
Everything was fantastic! Just a couple of items to help your next guests, did not deter from 5 stars. Hallway bathroom shower drained very slowly, should probably get checked. Master bedroom closet has a light going out. Thanks again!
The property was immaculate and very comfortable. This prime location is one that I would definitely rebook. The host was engaged from the beginning and very communicative.
This was a great location, walking distance to lots of restaurants and the American Airlines center. Jeff has a binder full of all the information and recommendations you could need during your stay. The neighborhood is very pretty and feels safe overall. Our only complaint is that you can hear everything happening outside including people having conversations while walking their dogs. Plenty of street parking in front of the house and the area is easy to get around. We really enjoyed our stay here.

he neighborhood was perfect—very quiet in the evenings, with lots of people out walking, which made it feel very safe. The house itself was extremely spacious and worked well for our group.
While the home was generally clean and definitely cleaner than some places we’ve stayed before, it could have used a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning. One thing I did notice, which I’ve also experienced at other places we’ve stayed, was that all of the windows were unlocked when we arrived. Because of that, I’ve made it a habit to check and lock them as soon as we check in anywhere we stay.
Overall, we had a good stay and appreciated the quiet, comfortable location.
The property is in a wonderful location and the neighborhood is very walkable. We enjoyed the side yard and sat out there often. Walking to coffee shops and Whole Foods was great!
Sewer was backed up in the house the first night(Friday) we got there. Host did not get a plumber there till Sunday after 3pm. WE had already left (Paid to stay till Monday). Host ghosted us and would not respond, only wanted to reimburse for 20% of our stay. We could not use any water, bathroom, cook, the house stunk like crap (literally) the entire stay. Miserable process to try to get any of the stay back as well. Sewer was coming up both bathrooms and the kitchen. I

I was born and raised in Dallas Tx. I have lived in the Uptown/ Downtown area for the past 15 years. I am fluent in Russian as my parents immigrated from Ukraine before I was born. I grew up speaking it. I love to travel and have visited most parts of the world. I like good food and trendy places. I know about all the coolest places in town and can give you suggestions on what's good on any night of the week.
Why they chose this property
State Thomas is a Dallas Landmark District in the Uptown area of Dallas, Texas. It borders downtown to the south at Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Bryan Place to the east at US 75 (Central Expressway), and LoMac to the north and west. The State Thomas neighborhood contains the largest collection of Victorian-era homes remaining in Dallas. including the Jacob and Eliza Spake House listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The establishment of the region as a Special Purpose District in 1986 helped make it one of the first new urbanist regions in the city. You will also find many local bars and restaurants scattered through the neighborhood.
You will be walking distance to all the best restaurants in Dallas. One block away from whole foods makes for a easy walk to get groceries. You will also be a short walk to the free trolley cart that gives you free rides up and down McKinney Ave.
Stay less then a block away from the Ritz- Carrollton and ZaZa hotel for a fraction of the price.
