I have never been so impressed with a rental before! The property is amazing and the cleanest place I have ever stayed at. Kelley was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Overall this was a great property for a family of five, with a great outside area for family as well as dogs to play or relax however they choose. It also has a beautiful pool area to relax if that is more your speed. The host is very friendly as well as very helpful no matter what your family’s needs. I would definitely stay here again.
The property was absolutely gorgeous and close to everything, sooo clean and decorating was beautifully done!! kelly the owner is the nicest person, we enjoyed talking to her and she was always asking if we needed anything and if all was ok! We will definitely book again next april!!
Let me start off by saying the host Kelley and her husband are awesome, wonderful and very caring people. They made my family feel like we were part of her family. The house was very clean and cozy and the yard was huge for our dog and even the kids to play ball. My family had a wonderful time staying. We will be back definitely.
The property is better than advertised and you can tell that there was a lot of time and love put into it. Kelley is an amazing host making sure that we were comfortable during our stay. We plan and coming back
Kelley was a great host, communicative, friendly, and clearly a person who understood dogs :) The house was very clean and well stocked. It was lovely to be able to hang out on the deck and let our city dogs rest in the sunlight. Our more athletic dog did find the one 4ft spot in the fence (otherwise the entire fence is 6ft) and jumped out, though she found her way back pretty quickly. Kelley was very understanding of our dogs and offered fence solutions for the future. It seems like there is a great community of people who appreciate this place!
Just had a wonderful stay. The host is totally delightful and the unit is laid out so conveniently. We had a calm, snuggly, cozy time just chilling. Hope to go back soon.
Best pet friendly rental one could imagine. Very well appointed accommodations and a very well fenced in acre for the dogs, as advertised. Quiet setting, very private, easy access to everything in the Cape May area. A big winner!!!
This is a great place. Clean, comfortable and tasteful. Quiet but close enough to the heart of Cape May. Hosts are very accomodating and friendly. Highly recommend.
Charming, quiet, pretty and spotless cabin with a pool and a huge lawn, just perfect to get a restful break while enjoying Cape May attractions and village activity with a free parking space in town! Kelley is the best and makes you feel welcome and comfortable.
Great place. Even in November there are plenty of things to do in Cape May. The house was immaculately clean, and the yard is literally the size of a football field. We had a great time, and would highly recommend it to all.
We had a great weekend in Cape May staying at the Cabin's Sea Cabin. The owner, Kelley, is friendly and fantastic to work with. The accommodations are spacious, warm, very clean, nicely decorated, have comfy beds and welcoming to our pets. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
My husband and I had a great stay - the property was perfect for us and our pup! You can tell the owners take pride in the property - it’s clean and thoughtfully decorated. The location was also very convenient - just a short drive to the dog-friendly Higbee beach or downtown Cape May. We can’t wait to plan our next visit!

Clean and cozy
This was our third year and it keeps getting better! Kelley keeps improving the place and making it even more comfortable. We love that the cabin is so dog friendly and convenient to all the beaches. It is peaceful and quiet and you can hear the birds in the morning. Kelly is a great host and available if anything is needed - we always enjoy our stay.
We stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Kelley was so friendly and welcoming. She has gone above and beyond to make your stay perfect!!! Her home is comfortable and spotless - she has thought of everything to make your stay extra special!! Our dogs were pampered as well and absolutely loved running in the acre backyard. We would highly recommend staying here! We can't wait to visit again!!
I’d never been to Cape May but it won’t be my last time. Kelley’s cottage is wonderful with an awesome backyard for the kids and dogs. We even brought a popup canopy with a tent and a projector to watch movies outside. Two thumbs up!
The home was very well appointed. Clean and great location. We were very close to everything. It was the first time for me travelling with my dog. He is older and large but he was very comfortable. The stairs were his only issue, so maybe people should be aware of the steps issue if bringing an older dog. Otherwise, everything was awesome 👌

Perfect Escape
This is a great place to stay in Cape May and my wife, dog , and myself had a great time. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The fenced in yard is large and the dog had plenty of room to run. The location is near Higbees Beach which is a great place to walk with the dog and view the sunset over the bay. The cabin is very convenient to the Cape May beaches which allow dogs until April. We arrived in a snowstorm and Kevin had the walks and deck cleaned. Kelley stopped by and ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a great stay at a great location and highly recommend this cabin.
The house was very clean and just perfect for our stay. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was a nice size, air conditioning worked well, and the patio was lovely to sit out on any time of day. The pool was wonderful and there were plenty of floats to choose from. The backyard was amazing for our dog! From about 8-4 there are wasps that congregate in the center part of the yard. Since my husband is allergic, I took the daytime shift in the yard. Our dog happens to be a natural perimeter walker so it was fine but it could be an issue if your dog likes to chase bees. They were all gone by 4 pm and we felt comfortable using the whole yard. Kelley was nice enough to give us some citronella candles to help when we asked. Will absolutely book again the next time we want to stay in cape May. Was a quiet, peaceful, relaxing week and just what we needed.

Very Very Very Clean and Comfortable (That's 3 Verys)!
Our first time at the cabin last week and we didn't want to leave. Kelley and Kevin couldn't have been nicer. We are booking for next year a year in advance. Loved everything about both the cabin and Cape May. Only a 10-minute bike ride from the beaches, restaurants and shops. So much to do and see. We loved the huge shaded deck and beds are comfortable. The owners supplied us with beach tags and nice beach chairs.
If I could give more stars on the cleanliness of the cabin alone I would. We left our yellow lab home, but next year we will try to bring him. A great huge fenced-in yard for any dog!
We planned several bike rides for this getaway and the location was perfect. Only 3 miles to the ferry which we took on one of our days there to Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware. Also, from the cabin we rode the bicycles to many of the Cape May Beach area attractions on low traffic roads. Kelley was very welcoming and her place was immaculate! Even though we didn't bring a pet, just having the view of the 1 acre fenced grass field was refreshing, looking out from the kitchen and dining area windows made us feel very secluded. This was our first venture out since the pandemic started and we had no concerns with the cabin, everything was sanitized before our arrival. The bedrooms were comfortable, we didn't feel cramped in any part of the cabin and the open area of living room, dining room and kitchen made an inviting space to relax in. Bonus in the summer would be the pool, it looked very inviting even with the 55 to 60 degree weather when we were there! Thanks again Kelley! We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back again!
We loved the apartment, it was very clean and the host was friendly. We initially paid to bring three dogs but one of our dogs passed away before the date of our reservation. I notified the host right away and asked for a refund for the 75.00. She said we will discuss at arrival, so I thought that was fine, so she could see that we only had two dogs. She said nothing about it, so I let it go. Then when we left, I accidentally took a small dog bowl home that belonged to her thinking it was one of ours. So I texted and apologized and asked if she could take the cost of the bowl off the 75.00. She just said don't worry about the bowl and never said anything about the 75.00. So 75.00 doesn't break us, but I thought it would be kind of her to refund the money because our dog had died before our arrival and I notified her immediately. Maybe there was a deadline for refund at that point, I'm not sure but it would have been nice for her to tell us that. So, the place and location is very nice, but I didn't feel that was good customer service and I was disappointed about that.

About the host
Hosted by Kelley J. Ferguson
I am from Phillipsburg, NJ but I met my wife, a Florida girl, while residing down there. A business opportunity brought us back to my hometown. I knew my wife missed the sunshine and sea air so I took her on an anniversary trip to Cape May in the middle of May many years ago. She fell in love with the area and we have faithfully returned ever since. About five years ago we decided to take our Frenchie with us on our vacations and I found the Captain's Sea Cabin online. When we arrived at the property my wife fell in love with it. She patiently pursued Capt. Frank and Betty with the possibility of owning it and now it is hers'. She is very excited to be the Florida girl who would rather live in Cape May, NJ. The legacy, of Capt. Frank and Betty, one of graciousness and hospitality is what we hope to be able to live up to. I am the president of Ferguson Containers in Phillipsburg, NJ and Kelley is the manager of the property. Our disabled daughter, Autumn , with her Shih Tzu, Odie and our PUG, Mei Mei are also residents at our Cape May home.
Why they chose this property
It is a short bicycle ride to the downtown shops and beach. It is a shorter drive to pet friendly Higbee Beach, Cape May winery and Cape May National golf course.
What makes this property unique
The beauty of this area captured our hearts so much that we had to have a home there to enjoy it more often than just a vacation. Please come and enjoy it with us.
