The host was wonderful. The house was fantastic. We really appreciated that they decorated the house for Christmas. The kitchen had eveything we needed. Also the wall of windows in the kitchen/dining area provided a beautiful picture of a frozen lake with an eagle flying around.

Your group was awesome! We would love to host you again, especially with some better weather.
Beautiful view in quiet neighborhood. Property was clean. Older home but it fit our needs for a girls weekend. Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of space. Hosts were very responsive, pleasant and helpful.
Relaxed setting with beautiful views of the lake. Tom was a great host. The little kids had fun with the lily pad between the 2 piers. Lots of small panfish for the young ones to catch right off the piers also.
This was a 3 night 5 gal getaway. We like to cook, craft, & play games. There was space to spread out and enough comfortable beds to sleep solo. (We shared rooms, though.) Upstairs den was a nice spot for to curl up with a book. The kitchen had space for multiple cooks. The long breakfast bar was perfect to stage meals. It is a well-loved cabin and was 'clean enough'. (The stove & oven needed a good cleaning, but everything else was fine.) If you plan to stay here and like to cook, there is one large skillet and some smaller skillets. If you plan to bake, bring baking dishes. The oven is tiny, but a 12x9 dish will fit. Anything bigger might not fit. Our host was wonderful responding to questions. We met one neighbor (out with his dog) and he was nice. The trail is walking distance from the cabin and it was nice having it so close. The 'touristy' shops in town are not open during the week, so we didn't get to check any of them out, but we strolled through town and enjoyed the tulips popping up out of the gardens. We had planned to use the fire pit to cook one dinner, but it was cold & windy so we pivoted to fixing food in the kitchen. The lake was quiet. There were a fishing boats out and one caught a large fish just off our shoreline. We hope to return in the future. Tom was a great host.
Although we did not stay with our kids it would be the ideal place to stay with your kids. Plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen area is ideal for whole family meals. The house is a great layout with sleeping quarters upstairs. The lake was nice and clear and would be great for swimming in. All in all a great stay!

We loved this cabin. It was so clean, and the views are amazing. The hosts are wonderful and respond quickly. Both adults and children loved the split floor plan. Lots of things to do nearby. I would recommend 100%
A quaint and scenic stay for any family with all the fun filled water toys you can ask for. Lake view from sunrise to sunset is breathtaking and plenty of open area for the kids to run and have fun. Our family created wonderful memories at this lake home.

We enjoyed our mid-week stay very much. Very nice lake house with a nice view of the water from most rooms. Tom was very accommodating in helping to make our stay very enjoyable. We would highly recommend and hope to go back. Gary and Caryll
We had perfect weather for our stay and the host was great! Everything was as expected. The kids loved the lily pad and the kayaks. We cooked, played games, fished, and swam a ton! Nice location and quiet setting.
Tom was very responsive and helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable. We had young kids along that were able to catch fish right off the dock. We also rented the lily pad and it was a hit with the kids. We loved our stay!

3 couples getting together to ice fish, play cards, catch up. The home was perfect for our needs. The view was wintery pretty. We used our sxs to get from house to fishhouse. Even caught a crappie, a nice sized walleye and few northern. Would definitely recommend and go back again..
This lake home is a gem! The neighborhood is quiet and the views of the lake are second to none. The cabin was clean and tidy, things throughout the house were clearly labeled to help locate any needed items. Communication with the host was very quick and helpful. I will definitely recommend this lake home to friends and family! We visited the Rusty Flamingo in Elysian. A cute little shop with antiques and Knick-knacks. We also visited an antique shop on the east side of Mankato, which was just a quick 20 minute drive away from the cabin. The food at Fischer’s Corner Bar was just what we were looking for. Our last morning on Lake Francis, we had coffee, a breakfast bowl, and HUGE cinnamon rolls from Lolli-pop’s Bakery, also in Elysian. Delicious and only about a 5 minute drive from the cabin. What a wonderful relaxing weekend!
We stayed 3 nights in this very comfortable and inviting home. The layout of the home is really ideal. We spent most of our time in the lower level. The wall of windows down there facing the lake was awesome! We could go upstairs if we needed quiet time. We did not use the available lake "toys" because of the humidity but we sure the beautiful and serene feel of the lake! Our host checked in early in our stay which was VERY nice to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. He also responded to texts if we had questions. That was very much appreciated. Great weekend for 5 friends to be together!

Nice lakeside get-away
If you’re expecting hotel type accommodation this is not your cupola tea. Plenty of room for guests; kitchen amenities were good; We paid extra for water toys; the paddle boat pontoons were half full of water- super difficult to drain & it didn’t have a rope to tie it up with. So I’m giving it a 3 star

Thanks for the input! We would love to host you again. It was a very rainy couple of days leading up to your stay.
We had a wonderful time during our recent stay. The cabin was well cleaned and prepared for us. The owners were a delight to communicate with and the lake view was just what we had hoped for.
We have children ages 4 and 2 so swimming off the dock didn’t work as well for us BUT the public beach in town was perfect! Kids had a blast. We appreciated all the amenities the cabin had to offer and our stay was more than comfortable.
Especially if you have small children like us, we highly recommend checking out the Children’s Museum ($) and Sibley Park (FREE fun!) in Mankato.
Thank you Rother Family for sharing your awesome space with us. We are so grateful!
