There’s nothing but the extraordinary beauty of nature surrounding Pete’s Place. The 1.7 acres of property are blessed with some of the Midwest’s most glorious trees, flora, and fauna. When you grab a seat on the patio (there’s a nice outdoor dining set there), you’ll be swept up in the peace and tranquility, along with the birdsongs all around you. Beautiful property and very nice place to stay, no issues and everyone enjoyed their time there. The host however.... Thinks AI is an actual option and does extremely odd things for payments and check in. To the point I contacted vrbo directly and got in writing that I was protected if I was scammed. Wanting copies of identification multiple times, payments outside of the VRBO system made me extremely nervous. Whatever it's worked out so far but just be prepared.
Beautiful house with woods right behind , we loved this spot for a long weekend with family to see SWMI

The inside of the house had a nice layout, comfortable mattresses and was clean. The kitchen was lacking some basics. It only had 4 dinner forks and a single 1/3 cup for any measuring. The cracked granite on the kitchen counter was an eyesore and uncleanly. We were very disappointed in the outside areas of the property. They had obviously not been cleaned up from winter and made welcoming. I swept up dead leaves, sticks and debris from the patio and patio furniture so we could use it. The property is very wooded and pretty but having piles of wet leaves, weeds and debris contributed to a mosquito haven.

Thank you for the honest feedback. We're happy to hear the interior, mattresses, and cleanliness hit the mark.
We're sorry the outdoor areas fell short — you're right that the patio should have been cleaned and ready before your arrival, not left for guests to sort out themselves. We're revisiting our seasonal prep checklist to make sure this doesn't happen again. The debris and wet leaves contributing to mosquitoes is a fair and important point.
On the kitchen, we'll be looking at adding a full flatware set and a complete set of measuring cups. The cracked granite is something we're aware of and will be addressing as well.
Thank you for the grace in how you shared this — it genuinely helps us improve.
This was a wonderful property for our extended weekend. Close enough to the beach/shopping without feeling crowded. The grounds were nicely maintained and private and the house was a gem. We took advantage of all the rooms and never felt too crowded.

Excellent stay in Three Oaks! The home was in a great location. Close to some nice restaurants. The best of the bunch was the dinner at Granor Farms. The home was easy to find. It is on a some what busy road but the way the home sits on the property makes it feel quiet and private.

The house was beautifully kept with a nice backyard and hot tub. I furnishings were comfortable and updated. The bathroom and beds were great too.
I would suggest checking the stove for better accuracy and a few more pans.

We loved this house for a week stay. Conveniently located to so many great places - New Buffalo, St Joe’s, the Dunnes. The indoor and outdoor space was great to spend time in. All of the beds were very cozy as well. One thing to note is this is listed as a 4 bedroom but one of those bedrooms is captive so you can only get to it by going through another bedroom. It worked out for us with a toddler, but depending on who you’re staying with, that could be an issue. Also the property management company responded to my text within one minute when I needed something. I would definitely recommend this house.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at Pete’s Place to celebrate our anniversary. The home was beautiful, comfy, and pristine. I was impressed with the attention to detail, both in terms of design and quality choices. The beds, bedding, and towels were all high quality and very comfortable. The way the house is sited, you could barely tell there were neighbors. We spent a decent amount of time out back in the hot tub and it was peaceful and felt very private. The location is super convenient, as well, making it easy to explore the surrounding communities. We would definitely stay here again!

House was clean and welcoming. Nicely furnished - many towels (bath and hot tub). The back patio was nice as well as the hot tub. Nice treed lot with some privacy. Yes there were leaves - We just swept them off. It did take some getting used to the traffic noise. First time to the area. It was fun to explore new restaurants and hiking. Favorite hiking spot was Chikaming Twp Park and Preserve. Yes I would recommend the home to others!

My husband, 3 adult daughters, and I (along with our dogs) stayed here for a week. We took the dogs to Warren Dunes (just minutes away on Red Arrow Highway) and also enjoyed beautiful Cherry Beach nearby. We spent time in New Buffalo, St. Joseph, and Three Oaks.
The house was so clean and comfortable with anything we could have needed, from an abundance of bath and beach towels to a nicely stocked kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and separate office area and 3 season room were a bonus as a few in our party had to work a few days during our stay. Even though it was quite hot during our trip, we also enjoyed the hot tub on a few evenings!
The only suggestion I have is to clean up the patio area by getting rid of the patio rug and perhaps invest in 2 new chaise lounges. Those items were quite dirty. The house is surrounded by trees and other foliage, so I can see how the elements really take a toll on outside furniture.
Overall, I give this house 5 stars!

Eileen - We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our property and also appreciate your feedback on how we can continue to exceed your expectations!
I stayed 4 nights with my parents (in their 60s), my middle schooler, and my 1 year old dog. The last few years we’ve stayed at a hotel in St. Joseph but we couldn’t this year as we had our dog with us (and Silver beach doesn’t allow dogs in the sand/water) so we had to switch it up. House is very pet and kid friendly with miscellaneous items provided (crayons and toys, dog leash with bags). Host was super responsive throughout the entire process. Kitchen is stocked with basics; we bought and left a glass measuring cup as there wasn’t one. Wi-fi signal was great even with multiple devices on it. Beds were comfortable with enough storage for clothes. I vaguely remember another review mentioning the road was close- it was but nothing super detrimental. There is also a train nearby but honestly we were so tired every night it didn’t bother any of us but I guess if you’ve got light sleepers in your group it is something to consider.Bummed we didn’t get to sign the guest book but overall super happy with our stay. Warren Dunes is 10 minutes away with a very clean and easily accessible dog beach.
Comfortable house for our group of five adults and one dog. One person in our group had to work from home a few days and was able to do so easily on the 3 season porch. Kitchen was well appointed. Hot tub was clean and hot! The house is set back from the road, so we didn’t hear car noise. The Red Arrow bike path is easily accessible; we took care crossing 3 Oaks Road and Red Arrow Highway and were able to ride the 20 mile round trip from the house to New Buffalo and back.
