Get away from it all at our private hillside retreat. Exclusively powered by green energy - solar electricity and rainwater irrigation. An ecological wonder on an enchanted island.

Enjoy enchanting, unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea, eco-friendly simplicity, and island-style outdoor lounging. Perfectly located just a quiet mile from Esperanza, Oreanda offers all the best of Vieques: lounging by the pool, sensational sunsets, incredible hikes to Black Sand Beach, outdoor kitchen with grill, and horseback riding nearby. Hop on a bike to Sun Bay or the Malecon, take a morning jog to Playa Grande or grab a good book and unwind. It’s all here: the perfect blend of hospitality, independence and nature therapy.

Just a mile from Esperanza on the Caribbean side of the island. With eco-friendly simplicity and outdoorsy living island style, our clean & bright casita (Spanish for 'small house') has its own view of the sea and nearby mountain. The shared pool area is the perfect spot to relax adjacent to a shaded deck when you're ready for a siesta in the hammock.

Casita Azul features one bedroom with queen-size bed, an A/C unit installed in the bedroom and fans for keeping cool, indoor half bath and outdoor shower, relaxing living area and kitchenette as well as outdoor dining space and grill. Our 2.5 acre property boasts breathtaking views, tropical trees - frangipani, flamboyan - and colorful bushes - hibiscus, bougainvillea, ixora. This location can't be beat with excellent hiking, tennis courts nearby, only ten minutes to great restaurants and the Bio Bay tour. When you need to get away from it all, this is the place to come.

Amenities include shampoo and conditioner, bath and beach towels, beach chairs and a portable cooler.

Daily housekeeping and room service are not provided. Courteous attention to the renters’ needs or requests will be provided.

We are officially running on solar power! Our system is installed with Tesla batteries and the set up is working great. We back up to the grid if needed.

Gorgeous property for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Joey, the property manager was super helpful getting us settled in not only to ther property, but the island. The beach is a short walk down hill but a lonnnnngggg walk back. There is parking by the beach if you don't want the climb back!

Convenient to Everything!

This cozy cottage was all we needed for our first visit to Vieques. We enjoyed the comfortable bed, air conditioning ( needed with closed windows to drown out the roosters at night), small kitchen and shared pool. The best was the location - close to Esperanza and Isabel Segunda. It was easy to get to all the beaches as well!

This spot was perfect for my daughter and myself. The pool and views were incredible and we found this location to be the most ideal and secluded in comparison to where friends stayed. The outdoor shower was amazing.

We loved the house. It was secluded and filled with wildlife (horses, chickens, occhi frogs, giant spiders, and more. The bed was comfortable. We were well situated (just a short drive to pretty much everything on the island)

Great place to stay. Highly recommended.

The property is beautiful and feels very quiet and peaceful. Even though there are three casitas we often had the property to ourselves. The view from the pool is astonishing. Property is in a great location. Less than a three minute drive in to Esperanza. Maybe ten minutes to Isabel. You should rent a vehicle while there. The pool is actually bigger than it appears in the photos. The casita was well equipped and the AC worked very well. . Note that because this rental is surrounding by jungle there were mosquitoes. Get bug spray. Also, the island has a lot of 'wild' roosters. The roosters like to wake up early in the morning and serenade you. Occasionally I had to run outside and chase them off. This is true of every location on the island. Playa de Negra was underwhelming although the short jungle walk to get to it was pretty. Don't plan a whole day there. There are better black sand beaches all over the world. Playa la Chiva is incredible. All the beaches out in the eastern end of the island in the wildlife refuge are amazing and worth the trip.
