About this property

BitterSweet Vineyard Views along Chatauqua Wine Trail w/hot tub and pet friendly

Take it easy at this charming cottage, featuring modern amenities, a rural setting, and a patio and fire pit area ready for entertaining -including a hot tub (Open April through October). Guests will feel comfortable and totally pampered as they enjoy this completely renovated getaway.
Guests won't find it hard to relax in this fully updated cottage that blends shabby chic and industrial farmhouse for a modern and cozy feel. Each season offers fresh opportunities to enjoy the property and surrounding areas.
In the warmer months, lounge on the patio to catch some rays or shooting stars, stroll through large outdoor property, or explore one of the many quaint towns nearby. Water lovers and fishermen are in luck with both Lake Erie and Lake Chautauqua so close by. The drive can even accommodate limited boat parking if needed.
There's still plenty to enjoy both inside and outside when the days get colder. There's plenty of room to build snow forts, cross-country ski or snowshoe. When it's time to get warm, build a cozy fire, enjoy a movie on the Smart TV, challenge someone to a round of darts or any other game available in the downstairs family room. Many winter sporting opportunities are available nearby, but guess should check online for dates and details while planning their stay.
There's a small garden near the home where guests will find an asortment of seasonal vegetables and herbs. As a special treat in October, the region will be buzzing for grape harvest season and then again in March for maple syrup harvest.
Guests with dogs are more than welcome, too. We have dog bowls, a 24x36 kennel and pooper scoopers ready. We just asked the dogs be treated for fleas and ticks prior to arrival and the guest pick up after their pets.
Guests have full access to the home and surrounding outdoor property including a working vineyard.
Please note.... The hot tub is open seasonally from April through October.

We all want to go back

We had a great time staying here for a mini girls trip! My two friends and I all said we would definitely go back. The house is bigger inside than it looks and has so much to do even for a staycation. It is located conveniently to different areas of enjoyment and has beautiful views in the vineyard. The home was very clean and looked just like the photos. The hot tub was clean and fully functioning.

Western New York Getaway

Bittersweet Vineyard is located along the wine trail and was very comfortable for the four of us to stay in. Plenty of room and features to make the stay very enjoyable. Would highly recommend it to anyone with a smaller or larger group that enjoys a nicely decorated home.

The Perfect Getaway

I couldn’t wait to come on here and give this stay a 5 star review. BitterSweet Vineyards was the perfect place for a long weekend for myself and my family. As we entered you immediately noticed that the house was spotless and smelled so good. The house was absolutely beautiful and it was perfect for all ages. The first floor bedroom and bathroom made it easy for my older parents to stay on the first floor. The Basement was adorable and packed with games for my kids and the upstairs was just so quaint and cute with 2 beautiful bedrooms that connected with a “secret passage” as my kids called it and there was an adorable sitting window at the top of the stairs. The outside grounds were kept so nice, the view was breathtaking and the fire pit area was absolutely perfect. We had some cool weather so we really enjoyed the hot tub as well! This house was pet friendly and was equipped with 2 large dog cages, food bowls and waste bags. The owners are wonderful and will answer any questions you have very quickly. I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone and would absolutely book this again.

House is beautiful! It looks small from the outside but its very spacious inside. All the rooms were clean. Beds were comfy and there were a lot of pillows to use. The kids love the house. There were toys and chalk boards for them to use. Hot tub was nice too. Host responds to messages in a timely manner. I definitely would come here again.

Outstanding

Outstanding, location, accommodations, and price. Kitchen well stocked with basics, clean and accommodating. I highly recommend to anyone with large group of all ages. The venue can easily be enjoyed by adults only or groups with family of all ages. The home looks small from outside, however, easily accommodated eight of us and we still had a unused bedroom.

Graduation weekend

Fantastic stay. Great location. Beautiful home. Hostess thought of everything. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. We had a fantastic time! We enjoyed doing a puzzle during a rainy time. We enjoyed the outdoor activities- a walk to the vineyard the hot tub and ladder ball. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute renovated farm house

We had a wonderful stay at Cheri’s place. Comfortably slept 9 people. She is a great host that gave many recommendations for places to check out and we really appreciated the special touches. If you have some time, we recommend taking the drive to Bemus Point! If you don’t have a lot of time, we also really enjoyed Dunkirk Pier, highly recommend Campi’s pizza and the little bakery next door along the Boardwalk Market. Thank you Cheri!

Great getaway

Beautiful home inside and out. My family loved the outside firepit area and the hottub. The host are great at making sure that you have everything that you need. Cheri looked up nearby beaches for my family as well as set out some outdoor toys for the grandkids. Very comfortable home 10 stars!!

My husband and I first came to the Western New York area approximately 8 years ago when our daughter decided to attend college at SUNY Fredonia. We were immediately smitten with this community and the area. We had always thought we would like to have a summer cottage near Lake Erie and Chautauqua Lake. With our daughter wanting to go to school at SUNY, this was our chance to not only provide a home to our daughter while she attended school but also give us a place to bring our girls for summer vacation and for all of us to unwind.

Why they chose this property

Bittersweet Vineyard Views is close to downtown Fredonia and all the offerings of a quaint college community while yet being part of the larger agricultural community. The vineyard view from this home takes you back to quieter times.

What makes this property unique

Don't let the outward appearance of this small Cape Cod home deceive you. The inside has been completely redone with a shabby chic/industrial farmhouse vibe. The outdoor areas were redone to encourage outdoor activities. There is a substantial fire pit area with picnic tables, benches and Adirondack chairs surrounded by country gardens. The back porch area, just off one of the bedrooms, is the perfect sunny spot for hot tubbing and enjoying summer. There is plenty of room here for the kids and the dogs to go on a nice hike around the 6 ac. property.
