About this property
Luxurious Lakefront Living near Dartmouth/Hanover
Close to Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital. Come to New Hampshire's "other" Lakes Region for a more laid back winter getaway. Stay at this amazing Lakehouse perched regally above the shore of Mascoma Lake. Enjoy incredible 180 degree lakeviews and nearly 200 feet of private lakefront and all it has offer. The Northern Rail Trail is right out the front door. It's 58 miles for Running, Cross Country Skiing, Snow Shoeing, Snowmobiling and Fat Tire biking. Enjoy the quiet serenity
The space
Grill and Chill on the patio and soak up the mountain views, unbelievable sunsets and the haunting call of the Loons. Swim off the dock or at sandy Shakoma beach just across the bridge or discover the rope swing for the adventurous. We offer (2) bikes to enjoy on the great Northern Rail Trail which is right outside the front door for miles of tranquil traffic-free riding. Hike to a waterfall on the many trail networks nearby. Summer memories are just around the corner but don't forget about foliage season and ski season, too. This is also the perfect spot for you Dartmouth College sports fans. Go Big Green! This is a fisherman's or outdoor lovers dream but with all the amenities such as full Chefs kitchen, Jacuzzi soaker tub, 5 flat screen TVs with a 70" in the Living room. It's all here. Summer; just like it used to be!
The home has high ceilings and water views from many of the rooms. There is a master bedroom upstairs with an en-suite bath and another guest bathroom.
Downstairs has 3 additional bedrooms and a Murphy bed for extra sleeping arrangements and a shared bathroom.
The access to the lake is from the bottom level and from the right side yard.
Our location is very central to Lebanon and Hanover but the fact that you are lakeside is the added bonus. This home is 3780 square feet for guests to relax and enjoy.
Guest access
Guests are able to access the whole house and the right side yard for those who have a paddle board or kayak. Boat launch is just 3 minutes down the street.
Other things to note
There is NO DIVING off dock because it is shallow (about 4ft) and parents are responsible not to leave their children unattended. This is direct water access and children should be protected by wearing a recommended coast guard approved personal floatation device for safety 🛟

We are Don and Jeanine. We have been hosting for the last 9 years on Martha's Vineyard and the coastal town of Rockport, MA. Jeanine is a local real estate agent and Don works for UPS. We have a love of real estate and have flipped properties in Charlestown, MA for many years. We started hosting on Marthas Vineyard 9 years ago and love meeting new guests from all over the world.
We were interested in a NH LakeHouse and when we saw this home, we were instantly awed by the house and its unique architectural features. The home was owned by 1 family for 31 years until we bought it. The home is flanked by neighbors for 25 years. Qnce you spend time here you'll realize why.

Why they chose this property
The house is on a very quiet dead end street. The house is flanked by neighbors who have lived on the lake for 20+years. Mascoma Lake is a beautiful lake to swim, paddleboard, fish and float. There is little reason to leave the house. Bring your groceries and just relax and take it all in.
What makes this property unique
The property was designed to resemble a Bedouin Tent. The living room and downstairs bedroom are in the Octogon room with 180 degree views of the lake. With 3780 square feet, you can always find a spot to lounge and relax.
We are starting to work on a separate game room on the bottom level of the house with a leather couch and an Air hockey table, dartboard and a foosball table. It is a great spot for the family to hang out and play games with a beautiful view of the lake.
