You will know you have arrived at the beach when choosing 23 Sand Crab Court! Bright whites with soft beach blues give this wonderful cottage the perfect beach feel. The living and dining area are open and lead to a very special screened in porch. This beautiful space serves as a second living room surrounded by maritime trees and foliage. In addition to the screened in porch, this home features an open deck with a tankless Weber gas grill.
The kitchen was the main focus during the recent renovation. It is well equipped with new beachy blue and white quartz countertops and stainless-steel refrigerator and stove. The dining room table has seating for eight with two extra seats at the kitchen bar.
Three bedrooms are also featured, and two private baths. The first guest bedroom has two comfortable twin beds. The second guest bedroom features a queen bed, delightful bedding and has direct access to the screen porch. The guest bedrooms share a newly renovated hall bath featuring a new tiled tub and shower. Finally, the master bedroom offers a delightful king bed, brand new private bath with glass walk in shower, designer tile and quartz countertop. The master bedroom has direct access to the open deck.
When your family is ready to build memories at the beach, it is an easy 330-yard walk! There is an access path leading to the beach between 55th and 56th Avenue! This access path leads you to one of the best and widest stretches of beach in Wild Dunes!

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

Perfect for a group with teenagers. Very cute inside and has everything you need.
Very cute house with everything you need. Good for a group with teens (not necessarily small children because you have to cross a busy road to get to the beach). The beach where the house is a very nice section of the beach.

A Perfect Beach Cottage
23 Sandcrab proved to be the perfect place for us to stay while visiting Charleston for a family event. It is so pretty and very comfortable! We found everything we needed in the cottage, and everything was neat and clean. An easy stroll to the beach!
We'd definitely recommend this comfortable home to anyone!

This was a wonderful place. Just two negatives: We were sent the wrong entry code via email and it took two phone calls to find the right one. That was a little stressful. Also, we were out and about, BUT had we wanted to hang out at the house a lot, the construction on both sides would have detracted from our enjoyment. Would have liked some warning about it. All personnel we dealt with were great.

Great with one exception
Very clean, lots of storage including walk in closet, comfortable furniture. Great location. We chose this home to enjoy the large screened in porch and to utilize the outdoor grill. In November the sun sets early and the lighting on the deck and porch is so dim we had to grill using the flashlight on our phones. The porch is so dark we couldn’t sit out there to enjoy being outside. As outdoor people, this was really disappointing. Everything else was great!!

Loved staying in this beautiful house. Close to the beach and deer eating in the yard. Secluded too. Could have sat on the porch the whole stay. Kitchen was beautiful too.
My two old college roommates and I had a reunion here, and this was a comfortable and attractive base for our adventures. Would definitely consider again for our next meetup.
Everything was clean, tidy, and the check-in process easy to follow. We even had a slightly clogged drain and the maintenance crew was just a text away. Would absolutely stay here again!
This house is exactly as it appears in the photos. It has a nice kitchen with a great collection of kitchen ware, pots and pans and equipment. The furnishings and bedrooms are very comfortable. It was nice to have part of the porch screened in and the grill was a bonus. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We had an issue with the ceiling fan in the kitchen. The property manager responded quickly and it was repaired right away.
The only thing that needs to be done is to re-mark the light switches in the dining/family room as well as on the stairs outside. They are somewhat confusing!
The house was perfect for our late summer getaway... We had four teens and two adults. The house was perfect. The kids enjoyed the screened in porch in the evenings. Located within an easy walk to the beach and the Wild Dunes amenities.

This house was perfect for our vacation. The layout was perfect and the amenities were exactly what we needed to get through the week. We enjoyed the area and all it had to offer. We hope to make another trip back to IOP in the future.
We had a great stay at this property. Very comfortable and well-stocked. The distance to the beach was not bad at all but you do need to navigate some steps so something to keep in mind if you have beach carts/wagons.
The cottage had very comfortable bedrooms, good showers and very well-stocked kitchen. We loved the collection of games in the living room! One suggestion would be to have a foldable drying rack for wet suits, towels and laundry.

Very clean comfortable property. Wish there was more seating in the living room . Nice back porch. Had everything we needed. Due to the sun and skylight it was difficult to cool the property during the day. The temp inside was usually 76 during the day and could get down to maybe 70 at night
The only issues we had were a missing coffee carafe that was replaced with a whole new coffee maker the next morning, a slow bathroom sink drain (we took it out) and a wine opener we couldn’t get the cork out of 🤣. This home was recently redone and was in a good location with nice furnishings and a well supplied kitchen.
Our only complaint might have been the lack of shopping in the locality. Suggest eating at Acme Lowcountry for fantastic southern cuisine in a casual setting. Had a great time traveling Wild Dunes in our rented golf cart. Beach and weather couldn’t have been better.

Mixed Feelings
I try to find the best in all situations. The house is newly remodeled and nice for the age of the home. Decor is very coastal and relaxing. Neighborhood is beautiful and we had a racoon visit one day and another day had deer relaxing in the backyard. While walking in, the house was clean. But within 3 hours of checking in we were killing multiple roaches on the walls and baseboards of the home. I kindly messaged the rental property and asked them to please send an exterminator, we would leave the entire day so that it could be done. Not one of us wanted to close our eyes that night. I received a message back that morning, quickly as a matter of fact. It was sprayed outside on April 13th I was told and they were calling the exterminator to see if they could spray and let me know. That was the last thing we heard. We would have loved to have used the kitchen but we didn't want to eat off of anything there. That's the only reason cleanliness was a lowered score.

The pictures do not tell the story. Vines growing up through entry stairs. Carport a dirty mess and exterior needs paint. Mold on front door. Dining table stained. Kitchen utensils minimal. Kitchen sink and faucet needs to be replaced as do counter tops throughout, including bathrooms.
LR sofa is tattered with holes in arm rests. 7 inch TV in master bedroom...really?
Entry door glass to porch off master cracked. Porch off master is filthy and needs re-staining.
Road noise very evident from back porch and the gas grill needs to be replaced. The beach chairs and beach umbrella are a joke. Rusted and should have been replaced about five years ago.
Possibly the worst unit we have ever rented. Additionally, Wild Dunes is run down. Golf courses which once were magnificent have not been maintained, Very few dining options inside the gates. The Board Walk and Pavilion are showing big time signs of wear, including rust, peeling and cracked paint. Poor or lacking overall landscaping maintenance throughout the resort. Bike rental units are rusty and worn.
Thank God the beach is beautiful, we had great weather and Charleston is only a 25 minute drive, otherwise this place is a disaster.
Way better options can be found at Hilton Head, Amelia Island or the Florida Panhandle.
We felt like we were ripped off. Asked rental office to move us and they had no acceptable options. Wanted to charge us 500 dollars more to move to a beach side unit...no way! Head of reservations did not even have the courtesy to return our phone call.

Wild Dune Resort has so much to offer. Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Award in 2018 ranked Wild Dunes Resort “Top Southern Resort in the US”. In 2019, Wild Dunes Tennis was ranked #3 in the World by Tennis Resorts Online. Golf Magazine in 2018 ranked Wild Dunes Links Course in the top twenty in South Carolina. Finally, South Living ranked the Isle of Palms amount the South’s Best Beaches in 2018. It is so disappointing that your experience in Wild Dunes was in such contrast to many accolades earned by the Resort this past year.
In addition to the many awards presented to Wild Dunes over the past year, 23 Sand Crab Court has experienced similar feedback. One recent review shared with us that 23 Sand Crab Court “We loved the house and location and it was perfect for our needs”. Another guest stated
” It is the perfect size and location for us. The property is quiet, safe and secure”. Where another family wrote “We loved this cozy beach cottage. It was pretty, comfortable and clean, and it was just a short walk from the beach”.
Where these reviews are excellent, the property owner continues to make improvements.
Recent upgrades include:
All new HVAC duct work, which enhanced air conditioning throughout the home.
The living area, dining area and bedrooms were painted.
New Weber Grill.
The beach chairs have been replaced with Tommy Bahama chairs. A beach cart is also included, in addition to a $250 Beach Gear Credit.
Removed all carpeting with new flooring in each bedroom.

Beautiful property, close access to a remote beach, and lots of privacy!
I absolutely loved this setting. The house was located just a few steps from a walking path that provided access to one of the least crowded beaches I've been on along the east coast. I loved the fresh, beach inspired decorations in the house. The master bed was a bit small, but it worked out just fine. All in all, this was one of my favorite family settings along the Atlantic.

Beachy, fresh, relaxing, fabulous!
The property was stunning! It was just the right size for my family of four. The walk to the beach was not much more than the walk if you were staying in an oceanfront condo with a boardwalk over the dunes. The beach was not crowded when we were there and it was well manicured and nicely taken care of. The property had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. The bed in the master bedroom was only a double. It ended up working out okay, but it was a bit of a tighter fit than we're used to.
