Beautiful cabin above the valley
Cabin was a great location for our group of four fly fisherman. Beautiful views and peaceful privacy close to wilderness exploring, but not too far from services. Has all you need to relax in comfort after a day of hiking, biking, fishing or golf. Located in a gated community of large lots in a natural setting, it’s a little off the beaten path (which is a good thing). The road up is gravel, but in good condition. Owner was responsive and easy to work with.

Host profile image
We're Robert and Jessica. This is our personal vacation home, that we purchased to share with our children and grandchildren, but we want to share the enjoyment with others. We self-manage this property. We love Silver Spur, and have good relationships with our neighbors and HOA.

We love the small town community scene in Brewster. One of our favorite things is their Independence Day parade! We love eating at Campeneros Mexican Restaurant and Lone Point Cellars.

An odd point of trivia--we don't golf, ski, fish or any of the other things that bring most people to Okanogan County. We spend most of our time at the house in the Winter and late fall.

Why they chose this property

We love Brewster because it's a very friendly community, and has many community events and lots of things to do nearby. The proximity to Leavenworth, Chelan, Alta Lake, Wenatchee, Okanogan, Omak, Lake Pateros and everything, but most of the time that we're in Brewster we're either with our neighbors or at the house. It's just a really pleasant, calm place to be. We love seeing deer in the yard, and listening to the coyotes at night. We love the huge views. We spent six months after seeing this house the first time trying to talk ourselves out of it. We looked at other homes all over the state and came back to this house because we felt like nothing measured up to the cozy but serviceable floorplan, big views and privacy.

What makes this property unique

Many people have told us that we've got the best lot in the neighborhood. Our property is adjacent to DNR property and on a minimally trafficked road. This means we see a lot of wildlife, get lots of quiet, and have minimal light pollution. Our neighborhood is a member of the "Dark Skies Alliance" which has strict regulations on exterior lighting to minimize light pollution, this means that you can easily stand in the yard and see the Milky Way on a clear night without the aid of a telescope. We regularly see satellites and are out of the flight path for most commercial flights.
