Jack’s 2nd Birthday

I traveled with my wife and M&D to Alii. My parents have stayed at Alii before but it was my and my wife first time. The bbqs available are awesome! The only improvement would be to have more kitchen towels. We will be back!

Great views, a.c in main livingroom wasnt working freezer had some issues one night beeped all night (it wasnt opened). Wish there was more towels (possibly some beach towels) for 10 people unit felt like we were constantly doing laundry on vacation and the washer could only hold 3 or so full size towels to wash or dry at a time. Beautiful views, hotel cant help with any issues which makes things a little tricky when managing company is closed.

Aloha Katie and mahalo for your comments. We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful views. We’re sorry for the inconvenience with the a/c and appreciate you working with our team on troubleshooting during your stay. Pool towels are available from the pool attendant, and guests may take and return as many as needed after verifying their occupancy, and we apologize if this wasn't made clear. We’re sorry to hear about the freezer beeping, and in the future, please call our guest experience team, available daily from 8am to midnight, as they would be happy to send a technician to assess the freezer. We hope that overall you had a great Maui vacation, and we hope to see you again on your next visit to Maui. With aloha, MRR

Nice condo on the beach

We stay at the Kaanapali Alii often. It's located in the most family friendly part of Maui. The Alii is on the beach with nice outdoor facilities including a large grilling/dining area and gazebo. The staff is wonderful. This particular unit housed the five of us, all adults, comfortably. The 3 bedrooms all had individual thermostats so everyone was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishware, cookware, pots and pans which we used often. (A small quibble is that the spice rack only contained salt and pepper.)The condo also has a great view. It's located on the top floor and the lanai had a view of the mountains and the beach/ocean and the Island of Lanai.

We love staying here with the proximity to the beach, the pool, Whaler’s Village, restaurants and great sunsets. You really never have to leave if you don’t want to. The kitchen had all the appropriate things and we used it mostly for breakfast. It had a dishwasher. It had a washer and dryer that aren’t the best but they worked okay. Just don’t let your clothes sit very long. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding and proportioned just right. There was a deck to sit on and watch the waves and walkway below. The pool was lovely and there are bbq grills by the pool where fresh herbs grow for using while cooking. This is a great spot to enjoy dinner and watch the sunset! We are always big fans of Monkey Pod and went there at least 3 times! Hist was very responsive to needs and checked in frequently via text to ensure we had everything we needed.Overall, a fantastic place to stay!
