Welcome to Maison Paradis! This French country chateau is a sprawling beauty, with over 8,000 square feet of interior living space, perfect for your next retreat. With six suites, each featuring their own luxurious bathrooms, and a half bathroom on each floor, this waterfront mansion is pet-friendly (pet fee applies*) and in the heart of Dahlonega wine country, right on the Chestatee River.

Enjoy this majestic secluded paradise while listening to the roaring whitewater Chestatee River rapids, as all bedrooms overlook the river.

The private estate features a variety of options for gathering areas, and is perfect for large family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, and special events. There are four separate dining areas (the largest of which seats 14), and multiple living spaces and sitting areas on each floor. The upstairs entertainment area can also be used as a work area/conference room, as guests can pull out the folding tables and chairs for use as needed.

Ideal for entertaining, this mansion features a well-equipped kitchen, wet bar, eight TVs, a sauna, and a pool table. Outside you can find a huge terrace with several seating areas, a fire pit, and a gas grill, as well as the expansive balcony above with a great river view.

Visit some of the local restaurants, boutiques, and tasting rooms, or spend time outside hiking, fishing, tubing, and more! The mansion is also only 30 minutes from the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville.

The first section of the path to the river is quite steep. Hiking poles are provided. At the river you'll find a small cabin for changing or storing your gear, as well as a gazebo for a riverside picnic! There are extra chairs you can use in the riverside cabin as well. The cabin by the river is not for sleeping in. It does have power but has no running water or bathroom.

The walk to the cabin is about 550 feet from the house, and it sits about 180 feet from the Chestatee River. You may find it difficult to bring your kayaks or canoe down to the river. Anglers will love the Chestatee Shoals location, great territory for trout fishing.

Property Notes:
- No fires in the wood-burning fireplaces, and no smoking in the house.
- The garage is not accessible to guests at this time.
- While there is plenty of parking, there is no space for turning around a large RV, camper or trailer, so please inquire prior to planning to bring anything of that nature.
- We have a few security cameras facing the driveway.
- There are two sleeper sofas for additional sleeping. One is downstairs across from the dining area, and the other is upstairs in the entertainment room.

Q: Are you pet-friendly?
A: *The only pets that are allowed are dogs, up to a maximum of two. There is a pet fee for all pets that are not service animals. The pet fee is $100 plus tax for the first pet, and $75 plus tax for each additional pet. This fee includes up to 3 nights. After 3 nights, there is an additional fee of $20 per pet per night plus tax. The tax rate is 16%. The first pet will be included in your booking total if you select "Pets" when booking (only for stays up to 3 nights). Please let us know about any additional pets right after you book and we will charge your payment method before your stay. We handle additional pets manually so pet fees are more affordable for guests. Pets must be in crates while not attended.

Q: What if I accidentally damage something?
A: There is a $37 damage protection waiver included in the base rate for this property. It covers guests for up to $750 in accidental damages, if the guest reports damage that happens during their stay. Intentional damage, unreported damage, or anything exceeding $750 will be charged to the guest's payment method.

Q: Is there a fee for extra guests?
A: Please select the correct number of guests when booking, as there is a $15 (per person, per night) extra guest fee for each guest after 12.

Q: What if I need to cancel?
A: Although we have a strict cancellation policy, we offer travelers insurance if you're worried you may have to cancel your trip for any reason. More info can be found at the end of the listing description.

Q: What kind of coffee maker do you have?
A: Our property has a drip coffee maker and a Keurig. We provide both types of coffee.

Q: Do you provide firewood?
A: We do not provide firewood. Firewood can be purchased at any of the local gas stations or grocery stores.

Q: What kind of grill do you have?
A: We have a propane grill, and we provide propane.

Q: When is check-in/checkout?
A: Check-in is at 4 p.m. and checkout is at 10 a.m. Early check-ins are possible, but subject to availability and a $30 per hour fee, rounded to the nearest hour. Late checkouts are generally not available, but if we are able to make an exception, the fee is $30 per hour.

Q: How do I check in?
A: The address will be sent to you at the time of your booking, and your check-in information will be sent to you two days out from your stay.

Q: I thought I saw a different booking price the other day. Why did the price change?
A: This listing uses a dynamic pricing algorithm; prices are updated daily.

Additionally, although we have a firm cancellation policy, we offer travelers insurance if you're worried you may have to cancel your trip for any reason.

No music, loud noise, or sound-amplifying equipment outside between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am.

No pets without a pet fee. The only pets that are allowed are dogs, up to a maximum of two. If it is found that guests brought a pet/pets without disclosing them, the guest will be subject to a $150 fee on top of the pet fees for the number of pets brought.

Guests causing excessive noise or disturbances, including, but not limited to, underage drinking, partying, drug use, and exceeding max occupancy, will be asked to check out immediately and full stay rent charge will be due including deposit amount with NO REFUNDS.

Guests who leave the place excessively dirty will be subject to additional cleaning fee. Examples of excessively dirty are stains on the floors and walls, pots and pans left unwashed in the sink, and trash left on the floor and outside.

Any guest that enters onto the property early without written permission may result in a $50 per hour fee.
Any checkout after 10:00 am without written permission may result in a $50 fee per hour. Anything after 11:00 am is considered 2 hours. Any checkout after 12:00 pm will result in a fee for the entire daily rate, without any discounts, and guests will still not have rights to the property.
