The house features a 460 sq ft living area, highlighted by a 14-foot vaulted ceiling and an open concept living-dining-kitchen space with a spectacular wall-to-wall glass view of the beach and Caribbean Sea. There are ACs in the bedrooms, ceiling fans in each room, granite countertops, two bathrooms, shared washer/dryer, hardwood floors, and shared kayaks. Cultural touches like African and local art pieces adorn the space.
The fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances (including a full-size dishwasher) and ample counter space is perfect for preparing anything from quick snacks to gourmet meals – which can be served formally at the large dining table or informally at a peninsula with bar stools or on the outdoor shaded porch – all with views of the beach and Caribbean.
Outdoors, you can soak in this tropical and beach experience by relaxing on the wrap-around/shaded deck with a 270 sq ft front porch offering sea views, and a 296 sq ft side porch overlooking the forest garden. Guests can venture out into the sea with the available kayaks (complementary). Recent guests kayaking to the right of the False Cayes (0.4-mile kayak ride from Maya Moon) found a snorkeling paradise that includes coral and a variety of fish. Snorkeling gear can be rented at Azure del Mar next door.
Within short driving distances is a variety of activities that includes access to a gym, pickleball courts, mini golf, and a bowling alley. A short drive to Placencia village offers cultural experiences, artisan shops, and beachside bars. This property has two houses - The gated auto entrance, parking area, path, laundry room and kayaks are shared with one other house. You can rent the Maya Moon Beach Retreat if you would like the entire property to yourself. Please contact us for this information.

Although basic amenities are provided, the property is self-catering with no daily linen or cleaning service, which means more amenities may need to be purchased during your stay. There is routine beach cleaning with additional cleaning upon request. This may be preformed without notice.
Also note that for bookings over 3 weeks housekeeping will be done at 2 week intervals. There is no charge for this to guests.
