We enjoyed our stay at this property! Plenty of room for our large group, clean & well stocked! Great location close to Soldatna & right on the river for fishing. Host responded quickly with any questions. Would return if we get the chance.

Our stay was incredibly comfortable for a family group of 13 (16-82), The main living area combined with the kitchen not only offered room for our group, all the needed amenities, lots of glass to view the Kenai River, and decor to make it special (especially the giant moose head overlooking it all). We did see an eagle soaring out back and a moose with two little ones browsing out front of the house, The close proximity to the town of Soldotna was very nice. The weather could have been a little bit better, but the house, stay, exploring, and fishing the Kenai Peninsula were great!

The Owen Kenai River Lodge was wonderful! The house was spacious and easily accommodated our family of 14. We enjoyed the flowers, and the natural vegetation. There was a private dock just down the hill from the cabin, and a bench to sit and watch the Kenai River flowing by. The house was in a quiet area, but the town was very close to shop. Our family likes to cook, and we found the kitchen to be well equipped. The host, Tami, was easy to get in touch with. I would highly recommend this Lodge!

Not only is this house beautiful and spacious, it’s also stocked with all of the conveniences you could want. The hosts are attentive and friendly above and beyond any other. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Guys getaway

We stayed in mid June 2025. It was a total of 7 of us ranging from 78 down to 30 years old. The house was perfect as it has 7 bedrooms. It’s very well laid out and the beds are comfortable. Everyone got really good sleep. The backyard is awesome and right on the river. We had a Bald Eagle land in the tree outback most every day of our visit. I definitely recommend this house. Also hit them up about fishing on the river as the owner is a guide. We had a blast going out fishing with him too. He also recommended a deep sea charter for us which turned out amazing, we all hit our limits.

The property was amazing. Beautiful! The house is dated the basement floor seems moist all the time. The house was the perfect size for our large family. We had a great time watching the moose early in the am and fishing from the dock. They were hard to catch there but went further down the Kenai and caught a ton in one day.

Place was perfect for a large group. Centrally located on the Kenai…we fished Kenai and Kasilof Rivers….and a charter near Homer. River front access was very relaxing. Tami quickly responded to any questions, and put us in touch with Steve Fickes to coordinate fishing. Already planning a return trip.
