Fins to the Right – Oceanfront & Fun

This large beach property is in a great location in Surf City. Fins To The Right is an oceanfront cottage with covered oceanfront decks and direct access to the beach. A reverse living floor plan capitalizes on the views of the ocean as you relax in the living area, chow down on some freshly cooked shrimp at the dining table, or prepare gourmet meals in the kitchen. Shopping and dining is just a short drive back to the commercial area of Surf City. Cable TV in all bedrooms and wireless internet is provided for your convenience. The outdoor shower has cold water only and is not enclosed.

The top level consists of the living area, dining area, kitchen, oceanfront bedroom with a King bed and a sliding door to the deck, and a shared full bathroom with access from the bedroom and living area. The lower level consists of three oceanfront bedrooms (2 Queens and 2 sets of Twin/Double Bunk Beds), each with sliding doors to the oceanfront deck. Two shared bathrooms are located at each end of the hallway on this level, and each can be accessed from either the Queen bedroom as well as the hallway.

Bed sizes include a King, 2 Queens, 2 sets of Twin/Double Bunk Beds (Twin top & Double bottom), and a Queen Sleeper Sofa.

A great vacation spot

This is a great location and accessible to many stores and activities. Peaceful and a spectalor view of the ocean. We enojed our time here and hope to visit again.

Fantastic property

This is our 4th time visiting Top Sail area and by far this is the best property we stayed at. We loved the furnishings and easy access to beach. So fun!

Summer breeze with Fins to the Right

Our family of eight ( four couples) plus a dog, had a great week. Access to the beach and appointment of furnishings was nice. Beds were comfortable although middle bunk bed room was a little warm (thank you for fan). Gated boardwalk worked well for the dog. We will be back! Thanks for a memorable week.

4.5 - best beach access ever

Overall a great stay! We’ve rented a lot of beach houses all along the NC & SC coast and this rental had the best beach access ever - only a very short walk down our private walkway with decking and beach access outside every bedroom. Other pluses: well-located, close to causeway for grocery shopping & restaurants; pet-friendly with owners kindly supplying pet covers for furniture; every bath could be accessed either from the hall or inside the adjoining bedroom; well-stocked kitchen; and very clean. Things that could be improved: despite sleeping 12, living room was very small with seating for only 5, no screens on slider doors, and mattresses were very soft. Otherwise, we were very pleased.

Property was as described.

Arrived just before check in and the house had not been cleaned yet. Cleaning crew showed up shortly after check in time. Couldn't have been there 30 min to clean the whole house. When they left we did as we always do go in and clean it ourselves. Decent location just close to the road an a lot of traffic. Need to note it is next to a public beach access.

Thank you for your review. The cleaner for the home fell down a flight of stairs at another property. Needless to say that troubled her schedule. She arrived at Fins at 2:40 with 8 people. They were minutes after 3. Checkin time is at 3 pm and not prior. Lewis Realty

PERFECT spot

The house is in an ideal location with it’s own easy access to the beach. Kitchen is very well stocked with cooking utensils (bring your own spices and such) and the linen service is worth the rent. We had two dogs with us and the owners kindly supplied couch covers. While there is not a lot of couch sitting for a large group, the large dining table will fit the need and there is plenty of room to work on one of the puzzles they have supplied (we also left a new puzzle there ;) There are quite a few stairs so take note if you have someone that cannot manage a lot. The rental company does supply a little kitchen soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry detergent to start you off. Shopping at Food Lion and Publix is an easy ride and both stores are nice and well stocked with everything you may need. I would give 5 stars for the house and 4 stars for the cleaning service that missed cleaning a bathtub and shower curtain but the rental company was very responsive and caring. If fact, this is the best rental company we have ever dealt with as they are so easy to contact and also send notices with easy instructions. We normally rent from private owners but would use Lewis Realty again.

Great views and house

My husband and I spent the week here for our 20th anniversary. Aside from the laundry, we only used the top floor. It has a nice set up. Our favorite part, aside from the closeness to the beach, was the covered top deck. The views of the ocean are great and it was the perfect spot to relax out of the sun and still enjoy the waves. As the property is next to a public access, the deck is also great when the beach is busy.

Beautiful view

We loved the place! The only downfall is the four flights of steps on the inside. It was very tough getting luggage and groceries in for the week. We also had my parents with us which are in there 80s so they didn’t leave the whole week for fear of the steps and falling.

Location and Ease

Very nice property! I loved all the balconies and especially the chairs on the top one. Very pet friendly or toddler friendly with gates everywhere preventing accidental exit to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked which made cooking easy for all of our meals. Less than 10 minute drive to shops, or a 30 minute walk up the beach. Oceanfront perfect views. Central living area was fine for four adults and three kids, and plenty of sleeping space to spare.

Beautiful views from every room!

We loved this property! Every bedroom had an amazing view of the ocean. It was easy to access the beach for walks and we were lucky enough to see dolphins almost every day! Lots of room to just relax. The kitchen was very well stocked with what we needed. I would suggest adding an ice cream scoop though. We can't wait to visit again!

Margaritaville

They owners decorated the place up with Jimmy Buffet themed Margaritaville items, even a few pictures of Jimmy. So if you like him you'll like the place. Overall the place is great, location, amenities, stocked kitchen (EXCEPT there are no margarita glasses!?) We have stayed up and down Topsail island for years and it is convenient to be closer to town but the traffic noise is our only real 'complaint'

We loved our stay at this Home! It was clean and nicely decorated. The layout was great especially if you have children because of direct access to all bedrooms from the rear deck. Would definitely stay at this Home again.
